Sack schwab while they're at it. His clown like explanation of the Cameron non-50 has to go down as one of the all time great bullshit explanations of anything

Had to peel myself from the ceiling watching a couple of delib thru goal completely ignored by umpire, a GC player and ess , no attempt at all to defend and I'd argue under less pressure than running 50m in even time with oppo in hot pursuit

Anyone see Hurley just kick it through gws' point when he wasn't under physical pressure? Wasn't given deliberate such bs

No surprise. AFL Umpire reviews are so full of sh1t. Not JUST because of the Short decision - but it is symptomatic of a very protected species that can't accept that criticism is not the end of the dream.

And people still reckon the short decision was correct,

Thought the centre bounces tonight were farcical. A couple where the ump called play on were so much to the advantage of Goldy that it was simply ridiculous. I think the umps call play on just to avoid the embarrassment of continually having to throw it up.

They pulled us up,in the first

Thought the umpiring was spot on tonight , for once we got the A team, rather than neglect to pay transgressions that we've been accustomed to such as running over the mark, these competent umpires had a keen eye to spot where our players were clearly being Impeded and they were rightfully paid. I congratulate them for that

Just gonna put it out there that the first two fifties we got in the third quarter were pretty iffy, and played a hand in us getting on top
No question we got the rub of the green tonight. I was getting very nervous in the 3rd quarter that our kicking for goal was going to cost us tonight.

You serious? Tackle a bloke when he's trying to make a lead? That's exactly the sort of cheating that should be pinged.

Agreed, but we were due.

Another couple of weeks and I'll call it square :D

All we ask for is an even playing field. Tonight, on a rare occasion, we given that. Credit to the umpires - a fair contest.

Finally, after 100 years,we get the rub of the green!
Told you a million times - Stop exaggerating, it's only been like 98 years

Yep fair call it was well umpired tonigh by a really professional umpiring outfit

Deboy just needs to watch this tape and do what this crew did. No grandstanding, no over officiating just umpire the game on its merits. It's all I ask.

All the decisions were technically there, but we'd have been steaming if it had been the other way around. It's the kind of lucky run that always goes against us and starts an avalanche of opposition goals for a quarter in nearly every game. Was good to have it work the other way for a change.

Nice to have it go our way for sure, momentum all ours.
How stupid to do it for a second time when you know the umpires are watching!!!!

True. Remember q1 jack gave a 50 and goal for even less.
So really only 1 goal (net) from 50s. Bolton missed.

There was also the tiny tackle from Jack in Q2 when he got pinged as he took possession inside 50. Turned a possible goal into a goal for them. They ran it full length (2 goal swing)
So yep, two of our 50s that resulted in goals were softish. But they were balanced by identical decisions the other way that resulted in goals.
Nothing to whinge about, on balance.
