We were so ordinary ourselves after the start the umpires so bad earlier barely mattered at end. Still they were shit, no question. Just we were worse than them in the end which is the bigger problem to deal with in immediate games ahead.

If every game was umpired exactly like finals and grand finals are umpired there wouldn’t be any issues ... but they ain’t ... so we do ...

AFL umpiring selection is no real different to a club selection.. the best umpires get given the best games, hence why we always end up with the $hit.. I just wish for once they were in our favour rather than against... or at least neutral.

If that is the case he should never umpire another St Kilda game again.

We should put in a "please explain" with the AFL for why his numbers are so skewed and put in a request to not have umpires who have played for the opposition club. We should include this link:

An example of a football related implicit bias, if translated to conscious thought, might be "Carton are crap - their players are crap and won't get much right. If it looks like a Carlton player has infringed, even marginally, they probably have".

I feel there's just a little too much of a pattern emerging in our games.

Did it cost us the game? Of course not ... we've got other major issues which need addressing. But that doesn't mean this isn't real.

In the first half they were well below par...it seems like we are getting the worst of it this year by a fair bit...I would be asking question behind closed doors if I was in charge at the club.

In was terribly one sided on the second, the majority were there but equally some were bad calls and we had nothing come our way.

Despite this though the first half margin was just 3 points. We then won the count 16-11 in the second so it did not impact on our ability to win.
