Contesting a mark/spoiling does eliminate the too high rule, it is in the rules and has been for a long time, the stance people are going with here is that it would be a free to jump for a mark because you hit someone’s back or put your knee above their shoulders.Spoiling the ball first does not eliminate the too high rule.
