Kemp got a lucky one and Weiters got away with a 50-50 a little bit before the dubious one.The frees to Darcy and West were dubious at best down right play on if fair.
West's was there.
English was a lucky one that he missed

West fell backwards into Cowan who was then trying to stop his own falling and a flailing arm goes across the back of West's neck for an instance. Cowan was not tackling just falling.Kemp got a lucky one and Weiters got away with a 50-50 a little bit before the dubious one.

Tinfoil hat firmly on, but it really is reaching the point that I wouldn't be surprised if in 10-15 years someone wrote a memoir the AFL tried to ban but failed on public interest grounds about how the AFL had a deliberate internal policy of manipulating results using umpiring and media to cause controversy and promote the game.It was at that point that I knew we weren't going to be winning the game. There was a point later on in the game where they paid a mark to Heeney, or a free kick. The video shows quite clearly that he hadn't marked the ball and had lost control of it before Lij "interfered" with the mark. That one didn't cost us a goal. But the mark at the other end by Young that wasn't called a mark did cost us. Directly in front, both hands on the ball controlling it, then his right arm was chopped. No free or mark.
The AFL could give lessons to FIFA on corruption and malfeasance. They aren't in it to promote and grow the game, they're in it to make their phat bonus cheques come the end of the year.
Any sporting organisation that is on the up and up would have binned off Christian years ago because he's a ****ing joke. The fact that the AFL is partnered with gambling organisations just speaks to how corrupt they are.

Absolutely terrible decision. As Whately said at the time.
"If they've got the technology to over rule or change the decision, before the kick is taken, they should use it"
I am certain I have seen umpires in the past use replay to check if the ball was out on the full or not. Not this time.

it was pretty funny. The field ump ran over and asked the boundary guy are you sure and he just doubled down with a big head nod. It’s staggering that we have 4 field u pores, one goal umpire and 2 boundary umpires and not one of them saw the ball bounce before going over the line and not one of them saw a replay before Heaney took his kick to rectify the decision.
Decision paralysis is a real issue and needs addressing.
As a one eyed Blues fan I only notice the frees we miss and understand the other side will miss out just as much but so much of what I see I believe is deemed acceptable by the AFL, the amount of clear throwing I saw in our game was disgusting.
Yeah. Boyd was crunched in the head twice. The amartey one but before that a spoil missed everything except his head. Direct punch to the back/ side of the head. Crumpled him for a few moments there too.Not one to complain too much because we are garbage of our own making but it wasn’t just the OOF call. Swans players were effectively allowed to bump the head - three times I can remember there was a bump to the head and play on was the call. Two of those might get a week…
Pretty obvious we crumble under pressure. Swans went with physical intimidation and realised they were getting away with it, so went harder.Yeah. Boyd was crunched in the head twice. It was a bad game but I do wonder if the swans figured we'd just crumple if they kept trying to hurt.... Dunno.
