They've changed the interpretation so based on the way they umpire now those calls were correct.

The whole thing is a joke.
They were all hopeless at controlling the players in that second quarter on both teams.
Too busy worrying about the technical and not paying any attention to the anti social.
Blow the whistle...dish out some 50m frees...get some control back.
Either they were choosing to ignore it or were incompetent.
