Almost 3 years difference..
It may not seem like much but by the time Goodwin,Mcleod,Burton,Edwards,Massie,Stevens,Shirley,Doughty etc retire players like Murphy,Gibbs,Kreuzer,Jamieson, Betts Walker, Bower hampson and a long list of others, will be hitting their peak.
Adelaide are in for a very long haul of rebuilding while we are only going to get better as we already have the lineup that will last us 10 plus years. Good times ahead blues fans!

You went and looked all that up, and worked all that out? Like I said, 6 players aged 28+ in our team yesterday. Still at least 5 years of footy in them. Or looking at Harvey, 8 or 9 years .

And as fryingpan said, young players doesnt necessarily mean good players.

Following Ports dismal season in 2006, they said they were rebuilding the follwing year. That following year they made the GF. SO Carlton have been rebuilding for HOW long with no results. As for Adelaide, we turned over 1/3 of our list last year, have injected new blood into the team this year, and are still right in the hunt. And we havent missed the finals in 4 or 5 years either... You need the blend of younger guys and experienced heads to succeed. Not mentioning our senior players such as McLeod/Goodwin/Edwards have not been having a huge impact on the team this year.

Living in Adelaide I only get the chance to see the boys 1-2 times a year. Sadly the combination of sh*t umpiring and moronic crows supporters (is there any other kind) conspired to spoil my day. 3 classic anti Fev moments summed up the game - tripped by the umpire' a free given away when the Truck rips his head off and no 50 metres when Truck runs over the mark. Still, reckon we could have won if only could kick a bit straighter.

Don't use poor umpiring as your excuse for losing. It was your players giving away silly free kicks to the opposition. I watched that game and saw Carlton players give away about 50% free kicks some of which they shouldn't have given away.
