Hayden Kennedy retires ... About bloody time.
Hayden Kennedy was the most sensible umpire in the game. He was also a genuinely nice umpire and did not have an ego like some of the new age umpires.

Little prick slaughtered us every time we had him, exactly like Simon Overland. Good riddance.
Give us Shaun Ryan and Matt Stevic every week and I'll be happy.
No it wasn't, it was harsh but definitely correct.the delibrate out of bounds against the sydney player was terrible... is that the rule now?

We actually need to focus on the real issue...the rules.
Supporters need to put aside their differences and biases because commentators who watch basically every game (guys like Mark Fine and other commentators) and ex-umpires will tell you that umpires are being compromised by AFL directives and rule changes which make their lives much, much harder.
From everything I've seen there is nothing to suggest that they are off the mark.
I would seriously go as far as banning threads criticising umpires. General discussion is OK and there are no doubt some errors but the umpires are not the problem.
Sydney had the rub, it happens. Big deal move on.
If umpires make bad decisions then they deserve to be criticised.
your even simpler than i had u pegged for.My guess us that you think umpires only have a conspiracy against Essendon.
Incorrect.
Umpires are human, they make mistakes. There are mechanisms in place to work on them, just as there are at the clubs to work through the mistakes that players make.
Whinging about umpires is pointless, unless you belive they are deliberate cheats.
Stevic is a little rabbit and epitomises everything wrong with umpiring. Egotistical little douche, and yes, I know from personal experiences due to his connections with our school.
People on here flame players of the club they support.
That's fine if the decisions are consistent interpretations throughout the game.
Sure, we can accept that prior is no longer needed for a HTB decision but we can't accept when one player is pinged with no prior and one player is not pinged after having four steps of prior. That has nothing to do with directives, only umpire incompetence.
Stupidest idea I've ever heard. Let's not talk about it so that it doesn't exist

I flame impartial umpires that I have no loyalty towards.
And I'll keep doing it until they stop influencing our matches so consistently.
Will it change things? Unlikely. Should I give them a break because theyre human? Probably, and I have been at games.
Would I complain to my partner about incompetent people at work that negatively influence my performance and experience? Absolutely.
So will I complain that these guys negatively influence the performance of a club I'm effectively a shareholder of, and my experience of watching them? Absolutely
What happens when they alwasy get the rub of the green? Is it a big deal if one side is continually favoured?
