We copped a lot of poor decisions and inconsistent interpretations. I remember one goal they kicked there could easily have been three free kicks to us in a chain of play, of which none were paid. There were sokme awful holding the ball decisions against us wher our plaqyers had no prior opportunity, and very few agains them. Not paying holding the man to Jetta near the end was pathetic and there were plenty of others.

I think the umpiring has been below average so far this season. Whether it is the speed of the game or how they are instructed to umpire games, I am just not sure why it has been poor. Another example is the Sydney v Geelong game tonight.

Not that it effected the game in anyway but the Fletcher tackle on Garlett was called 'play on' and no holding the ball decision was given. If another Carlton player had gotten the footy i think we would have talked about this one a lot more.

FWIW, Quarterbrain (I think) said that advantage was paid.

Yeah we got lucky a bit in the first half, when the game was tight I thought the shitness evened up. Would have been a tough game to umpire in any case.

From what i saw and i cannot be certain but no decision was given, play on was called in general. There was no holding the ball decision.

I can't remember the moment of the tackle (was too busy tearing my hair out and having a heart attack:p) but I'm pretty sure a commentator said it was play on to advantage, and the match report on the AFL website says likewise.

There were two definite HTB frees not paid against Carlton in our goalsquare in the first quarter.

I have commented for three years that we aren't rewarded for our tackling.

They showed a replay from the goal end view tonight on the Fifth Quarter.

The definition of both shepharding off the ball and taking somebody high. ****ing unforgivable.

If people complain in the Swans game that the swans was given to many soft free kicks. Now you want soft free kicks given to us?

It's called consistency, and consider the rules are set in stone for the year, there should be consistency.

If they give the opposition soft frees, we should be receiving soft frees as well.

100% agree they need to be consistent. They also just need to pay us the frees for what we do. I have watched a replay of the game and the number of dropping the ball decisions not paid against Carlton was disgusting. Many of them led up to Carlton goals. WE tackle really well and get no reward for it. Judd grabs Melsham within 1 micro second of him getting the ball and lands on top of him and its holding the friggin ball. The Jetta one is still the worst one with the illegal sheppard and there is no way that umpire did not see that happen, they just let it go. so far we have been stiffed out of 6 match points. Can only be worse against Collingwood as they can do no wrong their whole team.

Get ready for it. Because it's ****ing frustrating.

Blues worked their guts out vs Collingwood and got nowhere, only to see the Pies rewarded for identical efforts.

Make no mistake, the umpires are accustomed to Collingwood being the "winning" team. They WILL reward them for all their efforts.

Kidding urseLf if u think that was a free kick. Was 10 meters from Simpson, knew he had no chance so milked contact with the Carlton bloke shepherding. The umpire would of been sent to the bush if he'd paid that!!
