PAFC2004 said:Welcome to our world. Before the Port vs Collingwood game, the umpires were talking to buckley in the magpies rooms... Am I the only one that thinks that is strange?
Then R. James gives away a 50m penalty for throwing the ball to holland after a free kick is paid. Pathetic.
Vic clubs not only get an easy ride with the umpires, they only have to leave their own state a few times a year.
It was a bit more like a quarterback pass than a gentle throw though. When it happened I could relate to a degree as to why it was paid a 50, tough yes, but most will agree that he did ditch the ball at him with a strong force.
As for the other point Essendon playing collingwood at the MCG is not really a home ground advantage like playing at AAMI is for Adelaide and Port Adelaide. So I have to agree with the Victorians there most vic teams would only get about 4 or so games against interstate sides at their home ground which are the equivellent of our home games. Since 1997 there has been 6 interstate premierships and 2 victorian premierships and last year there was no victorian side in the GF, there is absolutely no facts at all that back up the claim that Victorian sides are assisted by playing so many games in Melbourne than the interstate sides, actually it says the total opposite.
