Suppose if unpires had done thier job in the first WC v Sydney match then the GF would likely have been Sydney/Saints and would have been a much better game.

Has been some big effects of bad umpiring this year but today was very good by all three. Really let the game flow and hardly payed a holding the ball decision.

Did you ignore the Jolly free kick, which ended in a Hall goal??
That was a shocker.

Cox worked Jolly out of the contest in a completely legal manner and got pinged for "in the back".

That said, WC should have done a better job of crowding Hall's lead.

I refuse to blame that decision for the result.

surprising top job by the guys...congratulations
The umpiring was a ********ing joke. I guess the AFL had influence in that since they got what they've been wanting for the last decade. You were robbed WCE supporters. The national game is just great isn't it?

I spent the afternoon in the company of many drunk West Coast supporters, and not once did anyone crack the sh*ts about the umpiring.

great effort today, shows how good aussie rules can be when the players are allowed to just play.

Thought they let the play go pretty well - Not trying to pick out things that weren't there. Hope they take it into the Home and Away. :thumbsu:

Did I just type that

I thought they did an excellent job today.

Today they let the game flow. They had no bearing on the result ,its just a pity they dont let the game flow in the H&A season.

They were remarkably good today. Let the game flow and consistent. Lots of Weagles players doing their Subi dives, with their fans getting upset because they weren't being rewarded. :)

Yes, they let it go.......

Well what does that mean?

It means that holding / scragging skilful players off the ball was ignored. It means blatant pushes in the back was ignored. It means holding the ball was thrown out of the rule book for the day.

Well if that's what you guys want then clubs should recruit thugs rather than skilful players and we should go back to one umpire who is only there to bounce the ball.

The umpiring was orchestrated to favour the negative, aggressive style of play of one side only.

Pity we learnt that Sydney has no club though. Poor NSW fans, not only the Melbourne media but their coach and at least one players said it was a win for the 'bloods'. You NSW people just learned you support a Melbourne team.
