The Richmond games that I've watched this season have been without a doubt the worst, inconsistent umpired games I've seen for a long long time.

I can't believe that the club is not asking questions of the league/umpires because from an outsiders point of view it looks corrupt !

I don't follow Richmond but I find myself yelling at the tv with the inconsistent decisions, if it was my team I don't think I'd get out of the arena without being arrested.

I'm glad that Robbo has come out and said something today because these games have become unwatchable due to the umpiring...

A year or two ago I posted on here a full excel chart showing the intentional systematic reamage of us by the AFL umpires over a 5+ year period and the media are only just catching on now :drunk:
The media are all AFL puppets ......don't bite the hand the feeds you .....ask Mick Warner

It's gonna be weird rewatching games from this era after they finally get rid of STAND. It's such a ridiculous part of the game having them yell STAND all the time and then all the silly rules around how to STAND and when you can stop STANDING. What an unnecessary and stupid addition to the game that has been. Utter clowns in charge.
I can't believe this rule has been allowed to continue ...it's a farce

I've just watched that free on the half time siren ...forget the 50m....I cannot for the life of me work out what the free-kick was for.....they plucked that out of nowhere or the umpire was guessing that something happened .....someone please tell me what it was for ......it's just bullshit !!!
Umpire called holding against Nankervis in the ruck, I had to watch the replay on Kayo and both players were holding, Darcy had Nankervis arm and Nank held on to the front of the jumper. There is a rule that says if umps see a tug of the jumper its a free but how often do you see players get away with this? Nanks was very minimal, but the AFL will say "technically there". The problem was Dow heard the siren over the umpires call because he blew his whistle the same time as the siren rang so it's not his actual fault. Another case of umpires having no common sense.

Even Robbo is questioning it.

4. THE UMPIRING AT THE MCG ON SUNDAY

Richmond supporters were livid. They had every right to be. The free kick count was 20-11, but that wasn’t the problem. The problem was the number of free kicks umpires didn’t pay when it appeared the Tigers had earnt them. Time and again, the Tigers would lay a tackle and not be rewarded for incorrect disposal. Salt was added to the wound when the Dockers, at times, received free kicks for incorrect disposal by the Tigers. Once again, confusion reigned about what exactly is prior opportunity. The more cynical Tigers supporter would say ‘what’s new’. Over the past five years, Richmond’s differential between free kicks for and free kicks against is -332. The next worst side is Hawthorn on -108. How can that properly be explained? Is there a vendetta? Or are the Tigers just sloppy or too aggressive with their tackling? If this was politics, a Royal Commission would be demanded. And if this was politics, we’d love Tigers officials to have parliamentary privilege so we could hear what they really think.
If Robbo is questioning it and is actually coming out of the woodwork to ask the question you know it is starting to become obvious. If Barrett talks about it then you know that internally questions have been asked of the AFL.

Dow dropped the ball and started making his way to the race as he probably thought the Umpire's whistle was signalling the end of the quarter because it is not the siren that signals the end of play it is the umpire.

do you happen to still have it and can it be updated?

I've watch it again ...and Nank hasn't actually grabbed his jumper...is more of a push ....if they're calling that a free this game is in big trouble

In a sport where the commentators pick out every team stat to identify why is team is worse than others and is losing - no mention of free kick differential
There told not to or they will have their liscence rebuked

Ironic that the media are now forced to catch up with what we (as RFC Supporters) have been saying for 5-6 years (if not more).

What is VERY disappointing is that Gale etc have said nothing. If it was Collingwood, it would have been all over Eddie's media platforms and stopped after 2 seasons.

As for the "stand" rule, 6-6-6, interchange cap, player kickouts / play on / run 40 meters with bouncing - all brought in to stop us and now we have stopped, we are still being persecuted. Clearly an AFL objective to shaft us from 2021 - and there is an Asterix after each flag won thereafter.

It might stop when betting agencies allow betting on free kick counts.

LOL Pipe literally just said he has us in the top 5 worst losses for the round. No mention of the umpiring though
To be fair, there were 4 games that went right down to the wire, I'd absolutely expect us to be in the worst 5 (plus, despite the umpiring we still played like crap)

I apologise to all if a flurry of BF Tigercast tweets came across your X feeds this morning commenting on various posts etc, but while this issue has the attention of the main stream media, I reckon we need to ram the point home so it's not just a passing thought, that it's actually a 'can someone at AFL logically explain this".

The only rebuttal anyone has ever used against this data is "you play on the edge, of course you give away more free kicks"

Which as anyone with half a brain knows, is complete bullshit and is actually irrelevant.
1) They are claiming that Pies, GWS, Cats, Swans, Lions etc don't play as close to the edge as us? Cmon.
2) Regardless of the edge we may play near, that has nothing to do with the ones we aren't getting for identical or worse infringements.

Even some of the more level headed Richmond people are now seeing it. The crowd sees it, you can hear it in the stands.
we play on edge?! we sit second last on the contested possessions - tell me another one!

I do admit however we have some *******s who cant tell where the other players heads are!

Even just to draw level with Hawthorn in 17th over the past 5 years that would entail getting 2 extra frees (or giving away two less) per game lol. Probably would have won a few more games in the close ones from that alone

The other thing that contributes to this is I believe we don't play for frees nearly as much as other teams do. If we are being held around stoppages etc. we will just play through, but next time you watch Carlton play, keep an eye on Cripps and the big song and dance he creates as soon as he's touched.

It wouldn't go a long way to fixing everything of course but I do think there are some missed opportunities there every game for that type of thing.

When SHocking openly said "we have to change the rules to stop Richmond" somehow no one said anything. Gale stood by and let it happen. We stood by and let it happen. They got what they wanted. This is basically ethnic cleansing on a football level.
Maybe if our coach at the time was less interested in chasing young skirt
He might have come up with a new plan to beat the stand rule..instead he gave up on the tigers ..got on the marijuana. And lost complete interest

We should do what they did in the Turkish soccer league play the VFL side for one game and then pull them all off the ground as soon as the umpire *s up. They played a side of 19 year olds and they all walked off during the game in protest over corruption in the sport.
Yeah. Do that and watch the CFL fine the club hundreds of thousands and strip us of draft picks, you could guarantee it.
