Well it's been ridiculous for years. But when we are so far down it just looks stupid.

The club should ... whatever. This should be a public issue. But the media is not interested, and 17 other clubs don't care. Eventually whatever the source of this is should go away. But

"Free kicks for" ranking by average per game. Nowt to do with how we play, everything to do with how the opposition play against us, or more accurately, how we are umpired relative to the rest of the competition...

Post Hocking arriving at the AFL in charge of umpires for the 2018 season:

2025 ranked 18th
2024 18th
2023 18th
2022 17th(within about 2 free kicks for the season of 18th)
2021 18th
2020 15th
2019 12th(we looked gone from injuries early season, they never made that mistake again)
2018 18th

Prior to Hocking going to the AFL:

2017 10th
2016 8th
2015 1st
2014 1st
2013 7th
2012 4th
2011 9th
2010 11th

That's right, our best ranking for free kicks paid to us in the 8 years since Hocking went to corrupt the whole umpiring fraternity against us, is WORSE THAN THE WORST we achieved in the previous 8 years. We have finished the season ranked 18th for free kicks paid to us in more of the last 8 seasons(5x) than the whole other 17 teams in the competition(3x.)

Our median ranking for free kicks paid to us in the 8 years prior to Hocking's arrival at AFL House: 7.5th most rewarded team.

Our median ranking in the 8 years since he arrived at AFL House in charge of umps: 18th most rewarded team.

That, my friends, is what you call blatant corruption.

Also have a look at what else Hocking fixed while he was at it...

8 years prior to his arrival, Geelong free kicks against(highest ranking ie 1st is worst):

2010 7th
2011 4th
2012 1st
2013 17th
2014 11th
2015 3rd
2016 1st
2017 1st

Let's see whether that magically improved when Hocking went to AFL House...

2018 7th
2019 13th
2020 6th
2021 16th
2022 12th
2023 9th
2024 16th
2025 18th

So the 8 years prior to Hocking being in charge of umpiring, Cats median ranking for free kicks against, was 3.5th most penalised team. Post Hocking taking over the umps...median 12.5th most penalised team.

They think we don't notice.

So post Hocking's arrival the Cats improve their median free kicks against ranking by 9 places. And Richmond's free kicks in favour ranking magically also dropped 11 places. In an 18 team competition that would seem to be a 20 position swing in favour of the Cats and against us. Truly remarkable.

Amazing how when Hocking took charge of the umpires Cats started playing with such discipline in terms of infringing their opponents and teams who played against their main threat, Richmond FC, also magically started playing with admirable discipline at the exact same time. And it carries on unabated to this day. It looks like we are stuck with it.

To quote Lewis Carroll's Walrus & Carpenter, of Alice in Wonderland fame:

"If seven maids with seven mops
Swept it for half a year,
Do you suppose," the Walrus said,
"That they could get it clear?"
"I doubt it," said the Carpenter,
And shed a bitter tear.

Do cookers even know they’re cookers?

Look at the average free differential.

Imagine thinking your basic mafs cooker post would be picked up by the media 🤣🤣🤣

Just sue the campaigners. They accepted his entry. Rubbish unclear conditions they have hidden and not specifically brought to the attention of the entrant should not be legally operative in a case like this.

Yeah, as business and individuals are culpable,The CFL and Shocking should be tested in court.

Standard competition rules in most places would state that employees, interested persons or immediate relatives of interested persons cannot enter the competition. Grundys (adopted?) brother should be allowed to keep his winnings in my book because I don’t reckon he could really gain a significant advantage, but he admitted he was aware of the immediate family rule so he hasn’t got a leg to stand on.

when it came out the cfl said they found no evidence
Like the druggies PEDs were cleared by the “independent” AFL tribunal to be later found guilty by not 1 but two outside tribunals , and Buddy had a lot of hamstring issues

and the geelong salary cap bloke audited himself when he entered the afl

When they give the scump some jail time he will do a deal and talk

So who still believes there no match fixing in the CFL ?

To me, this proves how effective the systems and people at betting companies and in law enforcement are when it comes to catching clowns like Jayden Stephenson and this umpire. Average out the winnings per bet, and it’s small potatoes.

Amazing how two people can watch the exact same event yet see it completely differently.

You know it’s rigged because our man David Rodan won’t fall in line so they’ve bumped him out of finals. Outrageous!
