I believe you are correct I think it is 10k a round. Might be more for finalspretty sweet gig. can make well into 6 figures for a part time job where you can perform absolutely terribly week in week out and any criticism gets silenced. might sign myself up
The state of Kerala in India is communist, democratically elected Marxist governments, and one of the most progressive in India. 100% literacy rate etc. Just sticking up for communism because I've nothing better to do in my lunch break.

So your saying they like telling everyone that it's for everyone, only when it suits them?
Sounds more like Obama Care.
The fact the AFL comes out and makes threats about talking about umpiring shows they have lost all respect . Lethleen (st Kilda’s CEO ) and Benny aren’t dills . I strongly doubt Ratten and Dimma’s comments would have been made if clubs hadn’t already tried to discuss issues behind closed doors and been dismissed.AFL threatens to suspend players, officials and coaches for umpire abuse
For those who criticise or approach umpires.www.sen.com.au
LOL. So basically this fits the anti Richmond narrative. Just sit there get shafted and cop it. fu** off
I don't know where you are getting your information from, but I watched this documentary recently. There is communism and communism. Soviet Russia or China vs an Indian state embedded in a capitalist democratic system.
Just like there are many variants of capitalism or democracy. I like stating broad facts with minimal empirical backing - I should be a journo. Although I hold myself to too high a bar - some empirical evidence.
Confusion regarding the rules works both ways, they only work one waytbf, the umps have a tough job and are probably just as confused about the rules as we are:

Exactly, way to much leeway given. That tackle that nearly cost Holman weeks was by most considered a perfect tackle. Since when are you allowed to chase someone at full tilt and drive them into the ground, not reportable, but in the back every single day of the week.... for about all the history of the Aussie rules until about a few years ago, you had to turn them, but he landed fair and square in his lower back. Broad broke Toby Greene's shoulder by landing fair square on top of him, play on.Anyone blaming the rules for confusion has no idea...
because it's not the new rules or rule changes they get wrong, it's the rules that have been a constant for years.
And even if interpretations or changes come into it, they bring it upon themselves. Let me give you the blatant example of why umpires sh*t in their own bed...
Player is tackled, umpire isn't going to ping HTB, counts to 3 then blows the whistle for a ball up...
VS
Player is tackled, umpire is going to pay HTB, counts to 3, spreads legs and lowers stance, counts to 5, over exaggerates calls, calls HTB...
For any TACKLE where HTB needs to be adjudicated on... it should be as simple as...
Player tackled, count to 3, blow whiste, call either Ball up or HTB... same actions in the decision making process irrelevant of the outcome.

There is a reason in the back is there, to protect the bloke with the ball from getting hammered. Now the tackler can get away with whatever as long as you don't concuss them. HTB s you say is the same, pay it when you see it so the ball player doesn't have to get rammed into the dirt before he is rewarded.
I swear as tough as footy was back in the day, players never got driven into the turf because a free was always paid for either holding the ball or holding the man, which is never given now, before someone got pile driven.
Skit? Monty Python documentaries are where I get most of my knowledge. What a brilliant skit. SO awesome.
The clamp down is undeniable proof that there is something rotten in Denmark with the umpiring.how fu**en funny is it the AFL talking about clamping down on criticising umps right after Dimmer says it. they haven't given much of a sh*t about it over the journey including several times this year but Tigs aren't allowed to do it
wonder what they will think up next. no doubt we come up with something on the field this weekend which umps are told to clamp down on next week
We don't get paid to be confused, yet they do!tbf, the umps have a tough job and are probably just as confused about the rules as we are:

The AFL are Teflon coated, the quicker everyone understands this the better. Decisions they make rightly or wrongly will be justified to the hilt, ultimately they will decide what they believe to be in the best interests of the game. The fact the AFL comes out and makes threats about talking about umpiring shows they have lost all respect . Making such a public statement is a poor reflection on the AFL
