Nearly drove off the road listening to SEN last night.
A Tiger asked why we don't get paid HTB and SEN announcer replied with "wait in line" like other clubs have been rorted more.:drunk:
its like someone settling in your home and then tells you to GTFO of it

Publicly Dimma and Voss have mentioned they will be seeking "clarification" from the AFL regarding the Umpiring from their game on the weekend.

This has to be some kind of joke ?

Both Gold Coast and Carlton well and truly looked after by the AFL, along with perennial beneficiaries in Collingwood and now ex AFL Umpires Boss at the helm at Essendon ?

Meanwhile our club sits on their collective hands and says nothing? Maybe because if they did, there would be massive repercussions?
So in 11 games there's a 115 differential in free kicks between GCS and Richmond. That means GCS on average get over 10 free kicks a game more than us. We were told for years it's our game plan and the way we play. GCS now have the same coach coaching the same way we were coached. We really need to front the AFL and ask WTF is going on.

we could be top 4 next year, but you just know umps will cost us games yet again and take the wind out of our sails

we are at the bottom of dill's competetive balancing mechanism

imagine we made the top 4 next year , the cfl would go into damage control

its like we are steve austin and the afl is vince mcmahon in the attitude era

Well ain't this somethin'......Collingwood getting HTB frees at 4 times the rate of other teams.

how is this even allowed, it's blatantly obvious that there is some sort of corruption going on. This really needs to be looked at and brought to the attention of all.

As soon as we look like top 4 material, the AFL will change the rules again. Now that it is absolutely obvious what is going on, the AFL are screwed because if they keep us at the bottom, we get good draft picks before Tasmania. We could be challenging around the time the draft is rorted for Tasmania.

I won't be surprised if the back end of this year, or starting next year, we might get some of that Collingwood / Carlton / Suns umpiring...

We must be a 15 year dynasty when it comes to winning Negative free kick differential stat

until rules are made black and white and not requiring an umpires sub-conscious opinions on a players intent we will never have a fair game!

even decisions revolving around push in the back and cutting of a markers arms is always going to be subjective!

what i dont understand is why Richmond?? if someone could explain that theory then we might be able to fix it!

i'd like to think the game isn't as corrupt as this board suggests but every game i walk away from i'm feeling more cheated and powerless.

Yeah they are, and have been a corrupt bunch of campaigners for years abusing the grey areas in the rules. And the AFL have been complicit. They just tick off on their ridiculous umpiring decisions because they’re afraid to lose umpires.

Fancy listening to Bwad Snott about the umpiring. The dickhead is partly responsible for the shit show we're seeing now. So far attached from reality but we're all wrong. Arrogant tossbag that can't see the forest from the trees.

Glad he's at Eseendon - long may he stay at the laughing stock of the league.... Oh I forgot they're top 2 and a premiership chance. lol what horseshit.

It's pretty clear that we're simply not getting tackled in the head properly. So it's our own fault - get better at being tackled in the head. Likewise we aren't getting our arms chopped properly, nor are we getting pushed in the back, legged, having our legs taken out, or being tackled without possession of the footy properly.

It's also our own fault that every week our opposition are much better at dropping and/or throwing the ball, creeping over the mark, running too far before bouncing, and taking marks that haven't travelled the full 15 metres. We clearly have some ground to make up in executing each of these transgressions properly.

We obviously should be practicing getting tackled in the head more.

they'll want us to get a shite pick now so they'll ease off the cfl throttle

Either the betting agencies are starting to ask questions of the AFL or they're in on it. It can't be ignored any longer.

I'd love to see a breakdown of umpire by umpire frees to clubs. You just know there'd be some figures that stick out like dogs balls.

Stay at Punt Road still get the salary cap. Last 6 years of umpiring hasn't stopped Lynch, Dusty getting over a $mill. Tarranto & Hopper happy to take their 750k.

Has it stopped Soldo getting a contract at another club? Would Rioli & Baker have been offered even more had they not been at punt road?

Quit cos of the umpiring? psychological torture
that'd be a first.

Ty Zantuck got tortured add his name to the class action.
treatment of our players has been atrocious,'he whom makes the claim bears the burden of proof' evidence is all there, cant lose, never said anythin bout quitting, all bout exposure n compensation..

So far tonight, Boak, Hinkley, Docherty, Nick Reiwoldt have slammed the current umpiring as the worst it's been for some time.

McBurney needs to be removed, but dopey Laura won't act. And Dill..., FMD bloke is asleep at the wheel.

Please for the love of god buy "The Boys Club" read it and then analyse the Umpiring.

The AFL for sure has an Agenda. They want as many people watching the sport and they want to be out of the spot light as much as possible. The state of the game with Umpiring is a direct result of the latter.

I would say that there is about an 80% chance that the AFL, since Brayshaw's retirement, has had an internal discussion around tackling. They are trying to subtly move the coaches into finding a way to get the ball back without tackling. The AFL, by being hot on any poor tackling technique and then not rewarding the tackler want to start to implant in the minds of coaches that "Tackling has no purpose, either lose a player to suspension or not cause a turnover". The AFL can hide it rather easily under the old "Fast paced ball movement" line they keep trotting out. They then threaten the AFL credentials of these hack journalists who have no other skills and then low and behold, there is no agenda by the AFL.

Another point is that the Media Journalists need a whack and someone to come out and say that part of this rules issues is their fault as well. Admonishing umpires for paying free kicks when there is an infraction because "it feels wrong" is just a stupid as hell statement. Can we get a homeless guy to break into Barrett's house steal all his shit then call Barrett and arseh*le because prosecuting this guy "feels wrong"? We have rules and the players either break them or they don't. Just because it is the last minute of the game or the 5th minute doesn't matter when applying the rules.

It's a great read.
If it's the AFL's intention to get rid of tackling then they're dumber than I gave them credit for - which I didn't think was possible. The game is in terrible hands with the current nongs at HQ.

will it make me more angry than I already am at the state of the game? Not sure I can take it.
