Under 15 State Squad

You'll find that the under 15 squad doesn't mean a hell of alot, last year in the under 16 Vic Metro squad, only about 7 played the previous year in the under 15 side. This is due to things such as being able to nominate yourself online etc. Also some fellas who make the side aren't even in their respective TAC cup region U 15 development squads.
As WatchOut already said a while ago, altough i didn't see it.

Vic Country squad has been posted on the VSSSA website as follows:

The VSSSA is pleased to announce the following players have been selected to represent the Australian Football Country team at the School Sport Australia 15 and Under Championships in Melbourne in July, 2008.

Taylor Adams, Jay Lever, Alex Bartlett, Nick Maric, Tristan Battaglia, Riley McIvor, Bronson Booth, Nicholas O'Brien, Joshua Charles, Coleman Schache, Simon Deery, Devon Smith, Lachlan Edwards, Jordan Staley, Ethan Foreman, Rory Taggert, Simon Harris, Michael Talia, Damien Hector, Zane Thompson, Haydn Hector, Thomas Watson, Brad Howling, Darcy Williamson, Andrew Lang
Tay Adams is one to watch. A very intense and commited footballer with excellence skills and a football brain. Tristan Battaglia is one of the quickest junior footballers ive ever seen. Brad Howling is a very solid and good-skilled footballer. Darcy Williamson is a natural.

Where are the boys from tigers seven?

Where are the boys from tigers seven?
they all play in the geelong junior football league.
Tay Adams - St. Josephs
Jay Lever (over rated) - South Barwon
Tristan Battaglia - Bannockburn
Devon Smith - Lara
Lachlan Edwards - Belmont
Brad Howling - South Barwon
Darcy Williamson - Barwon Heads

Morris and Buckley play in my club team and Mullins and Buckley play in my school team. Buckley also has father-son with Carlton, his dad Jim Buckley played 164 VFL games and won a B&F at carlton

Dan Maitland been called into the side. Was an emergency and considine out.
was considine any good?
will not be a bad choice of the appointment of maitland.

who will be captain? shiel or mullins?

howling = over rated

Nah - definitely not over rated IMO - have seen him play since primary school. He has talent. Just how far he takes it or it takes him is yet to be determined.

Just have to agree to disageee and let his footy do the talking. By the way I am not a relative and have no connection.

considine is not that good, played with him at jets and didnt do anything amazing

Wat are the results to the carnival, who is playing well.
Jackson Paine and Will Leveni are guns especially the former. Are there any other threads for U15?

I went to Chirnside Park yesterday and saw South Australia defeat Queensland by six points. Only reason I went is because my girlfriend's cousin is representing South Australia, so unfortunately I didn't stay for the Vic Metro vs Country (was too cold to hang around).

Matthew Jaquier looks a good player. Anything can happen from now til 2011, but he looks the most promising of the South Australian boys.

Paine and Leveni are guns. Both quick and atheltic. Another play to watch who's not in the state is Nick Daish. All go to Melbourne Grammar.

paine and leveni are overrated they have not been as good as they were in previous years

seb purcell should not of been picked in the vic metro he played shocking in hte tryouts and his dad had a lot to do with it...he also made the all australian team which is a joke...3 other vic metros made the all australian team

U15 vic metro doesnt mean much at all they dont pick the best team and they pick people that have 'famous names' and there are defiently some players that should be in the team that werent...such as tom mitchell and dom tyson. there are also many players that could have made the team that didnt boither to tryout such as brock mclennan and hal hunter...2 players that would be certain to make the team

U16 vic team is the real deal and thats where your career can start...you cant say that people will go top 10 draft pick when there is still 3 years to go...anything can happen in between now and then

Nice theory, but sadly it does not explain why Purcell got two consecutive Best on Grounds in the championships :

http://www.schoolsport.edu.au/lib/pdf/results/aussie/mf811.pdf

Purcell has not played a single game of school or club footy this year.
And yet, he can walk into any rep team he chooses.
That's how things work when you're as good as he is.
No joke.

mate ive known seb for bout 8 years and played with him in the yarra footy team in the metro championships...he is incredibly quick but doesnt have the greatest skills
ill tell you why he didnt play many games and still walked in...cause of his dad as i said previously
you cant walk into a state team not playing one club or school game and when he only played in the last trial match at they tryouts...in which he got 4 kicks
