roxy 18s have a full side which will dissapoint a few people. roxy26 you wrote the same thing about the under16s which age group next under12s

no silvermagpie i will not write about the under 12's because i do not know about them. as i said i was a roxy under 16's player but have moved on. roxy 16's will get pumped this year because of so many 1st year playes (as in there first year of football). and as for the 18's i have mates in there and that is what ive been told they have had only had 12 or so training max. so this is just information i have been told. What do u have to do with the footy club silvermagpie?

doesn,t matter wether 1st year players and if they get pumped you said they would not have a side your side of story changing already harley(i mean roxy26) life goes on you should do same
 
yer they will struglle to have a side when they keep getting pumped. and because there so low in numbers for 18's they will want 16's to go up to fill sum spots nd then 14's up to 16's. that is wat i meant as in struggle for a side. alot of kids will not come back. and whats ur news on the 18's? ud know alot about that wouldnt yah? nd i dont care if yah know me im not hiding behind my alias but you are?

well guys round 1 is here for 2009. been a long wait but it sounds exciting.

whats the go with 2009 who are the teams to beat and who will win this week in round 1?

i see westmeadows have lost alot of players and tulla going to be strong what other teams going to be strong? ive heard apw has pickd up 8 or 9 players will they be any good?

let us know as much as use know guys cheers!
 
I have heard APW are going very well, trying to keep it quiet. Will Rillo from Roxy has been doing very well in the praccys I hear. Northern Saints are also going well as are Jacana. I expect Haddy to do well after a good year last year.

It seems Roxy will drop off the pace a bit this year after losing a few and TL were not too strong in the 16s so they may not top up the list enough. What about SH, will their reign come to an end, how many do they lose to seniors or will it be a threepeat. It's almost impossible but here's my guess,

I'll back TL by plenty against KP - KP have no team.

Special thanks goes to all those 21 committed players before xmas who decided to jump the ship and head off to other clubs..!!

I also hear that some were given senior spot incentives and $$$$$ - how can you compete with that if it's true...??
 
heard that tulla and APW have picked up alot of quality players, apw getting westmeadows boys and tulla getting virtually all of glenroys good players from previous years.
any info on any 18s teams this year?
round 1 predictions:
airport west by 4 goals
oak park 20 goals
tulla 15 goals
hadfield 10 goals
east keilor 3 goals
taylors lakes walkover
northern saints 5 goals
 
There seems to be a bit of talk about APW and Tulla picking up and are expected to do while roxy and SH are expected to drop
SH have lost at least half their list to seniors only about 6 or 7 players from the grand final side will start this w/e

Apw V Jacana -Apw by about 4 or 5 goals
Oak Park V Moonee Valley - Oakers by about 7
Tulla V Pascoe Vale - tulla by about 10 goals
Hadfield v SH - Haddy by 4 goals
East Keilor V Roxy - Roxy by 2 goals

should b a good comp this year hopefully a lot more even
tulla has piked up some good quality players with good depth with players missing out every week even the seniors and ressys have good depth with the under 18s who players in the senior grand final last year not fitting into seniors so bak down to the 18s this year i hear apw piking up a few aswell

Obviously you haven't been down at westy for a while chipboy, both under 18s and under 16s have too many and will have players missing out this weekend....that doesn't sound like a struggling club to me!!! As for the story about the under 18s coach I think it sounds like you have a personal vendetta and you need to get your facts straight before you speak.

Westy are still a decent side, lost a few but still plenty of class. Just beaten by a better side today. They run hard and have plenty of height. Looks like a nice open comp this year.....plenty of sides will do damage on any given day.
 
Pacco struggled with numbers on the weekend and had to get a number of U16s to fill in. What happened with Robbie Mullen back at Westy after being transferred to Douttas and being named in both Westy's and Doutta's sides?? Looks like last years powerhouses SH and Roxy will find it tougher this year or are all their players up in the seniors again?? Hadfield look the real deal with a lot of second year players, Northern with a new list and Tulla and APW must be strong after big wins.
 
he cleared himself back to westy...i have no idea what he was tryna do..but no team is going to be shit if hes playing...but westy have lost that many players u wonder what happend

i wouldnt be puttin the raps on tulla or apw yet...they both played some really...really average opposition
 
i wouldnt put any wraps on any side at the moment, over the next 2-3 weeks we will see whose strong and who is struggling.

my tips for this week is

roxy v HADFIELD by 9 goals
MOONEE VALLEY v taylors lakes by 1 goal

You're right it will take a couple of weeks to see where everyone sits. This weeks guess,

TULLA v northen saints by 3 goals
sydneham v APW by 8 goals
roxy v HADFIELD by 16 goals
MOONEE VALLEY v taylors lakes by 1 goal
pacco v OAK PARK by 15 goals (cannons have a bye this week though)
WESTMEADOWS v jacana by 8 goals

See if I can improve on the 5 from last week.
 
Having a look at the fixture theres some very big games this week that could just show how some teams are going to perform this year. My tips for the week

TULLA v northen saints - Tulla to win by 2 goals but i hear Northern Saints have kept alot of the players from last year and could be the real deal this year.

sydneham v APW - APW to win by 5 goals but sydenham even though they last to Hadfeild by 50 points may give APW a run for there money

roxy v HADFIELD - Hadfield to win by alot

MOONEE VALLEY v taylors lakes - Taylors lakes to win by 5 goals, from what i have heard they played starthmores 2nd team in a practice match last week and manged to give up an 8 goal lead to eventually loose

pacco v OAK PARK - oak park to win pretty comfortable

WESTMEADOWS v jacana - westy should win comfortable after loosing last week to a pretty solid outfit

Moonee Valley have a shit backline so i would defintely pick Taylors Lakes. Moonee Valley is the worst fullback in the league by far. One word describes him horrendous
 
Tulla v Northern Saints - Tulla by about 5 goals
Sydenham v APW - Sharks at shark park in the wet by a couple suprise upset
Roxy vs Haddy - haddy a strong outfit, sharks werent bad last week, haddy too skillful, haddy by 10 goals here
MV vs Taylors - Lakers by 3 goals, taylors very competitive against strathmore last week
Pacco vs Oak Park - Oak by about 12 goals, pacco struggling
Westy vs Jacana - Westy by 4 goals

Tulla and APW will be tested this week as to whether they are contenders see if they hold up
