Did not tip on loser last week, was almost spot on actually so lets see how i hold up this week.

Tulla v Northern Saints - Tulla 4 goals
Sydenham v APW - APW 5 goals
Roxy vs Haddy - hadfield 15 goals
MV vs Taylors - taylors lakes 5 goals
Pacco vs Oak Park - oak park 20 goals easily
Westy vs Jacana - westmeadows 8 goals
 
Tulla v Northern Saints - NS 4 goals
Sydenham v APW - APW 6 goals
Roxy vs Haddy - hadfield 10 goals and most likely pretty rough match
MV vs Taylors - taylors lakes 2 goals
Pacco vs Oak Park - oak park 100 points quite easily
Westy vs Jacana - westmeadows 5 goals

There was actually 2 brawls, once the first finished it started back up about 5 minutes later.
#70 from roxy had been trying to pick fights all day, he eventually got sent off.
one roxy player said that a supporter from the roxy side was about to run on with a knife but got stopped.
doesnt surprise me.
 
Well you should go by 1st hand info rather than relying on gossip . No one ran on with a knife and the brawl wasn`t that big and 1 player from each side fronted the umpires after the game no 27 from hadfield and 29 from roxy. It was quite a good game with Hadfield playing more direct footy for most of the game they have some good players who will test some of the better sides this year. Roxy will get better as the year goes on .
 
yeah i agree the brawls between roxy n haddy wernt that bad. few hits and headbuts but thats all. both clubs got fined though. hadfield arent as good as people say they are. roxy have a new team that are yet to gel and haddy stil cudnt seem to smash them. once roxy get a win up on the board which they shud do so this week agaisnt pacco they will start to improve alot and will hav a solid second half of the season. especially when there is stil players from other clubs comin to roxy;) it wil be good to see how haddy go once there 2nd team starts there season. anyway roxy will get a 4 points on the board this week. true?

lol, i never said someone ran on with a knife, i said someone was about to.
and thats because i actually play for haddy and the player i was on, was on the bench at the time and told me that.

Buddy hadfield are a very good unit they still havent got there best team in and will be in the top 3..the conditions weren't the best and it was a shitty game.

i was speaking to a mate who plays for sydneham and he reckons that half of airport west's team is new? who have they picked up and who they still got? will they be strong or standard airport west?

airport west do have a new side they will be a strong team, keeping all of their team from last year and recruiting a few boys from westy and greenvale, they are probably the cockiest side in the competition as well.

interesting week of footy, interested to know who people think will top 5 it this year?
 
I was at the game on the weekend airport west vs sydenham. APW played with a lot of confidence and were willing to bring their team mates into the game. There is a difference between cockiness and confidence.

That is a very serious statement you have just made its u18 football and its supposed to be a sport you kids play before you make up stories on this thread against any club i would suggest you think about what you write i will be speaking to your club president and the league on this thread you have posted enjoy your sport dont bag clubs or players
 
just looked at taylors lakes end to the year...extremely tough could be a battle between east keilor taylors lakes oak park and moonee valley for 5th spot.

east keilor have the easiest last 4 rounds of the lost playing jacana and pacco vale twice.

will be an interesting finish to the year...

im not making up stories.
im simply just saying what i was told by a roxy opponent during the match.
he may have been lieing, who knows.
but thats what he told me :S
and i never bagged any players or clubs.. so dont make out me to be the bad guy because i just stated what i was told first hand.

not sure you can say east keilor will be up there just yet considering they've played roxy and had a bye.

what about moonee valley they only lost by a point to oak park and they beat taylors lakes even if it was only by 3 or 4 points.

I think it might be a bit to early in the year to be guessing a top 5 with still alot more football to be played and teams that may have had a bad start to pick it up.

i havnt seen a weak link in the side yet
they run the ball well and will expose teams like northern saints and hadfeild
when sydenham came out to play in the third quarter
they adapted to the game, shut down their run
and won the second half comfortably
but we will see with quality oposition this week (at last)
oak park might be shocked like sydenham were

The same Northern Saints that were in front with 5 minutes left against most peoples top pick in Tullamarine? the Hadfield with enough depth for two teams? Might be an idea to watch those teams play before decing if they will be exposed or not....Time will tell
 
Also saw the Tulla V Northern Saints game. Tulla won the game however if the Saints had kicked straight in the first half it was all over. They moved the ball very well and had a lot of dangerous forwards. I would think they will be in the top couple at the end of the year.

look at their players, i have a lot of valued sources who were at the saints - tulla game
they are not fit enough to run out a game, and it proves with tulla running over them in the last five minutes
hadfeild natouriously are big and tough but can be caught out by quicker opposition (and by the way have had enough depth for 2 teams all through juniors, havnt won a flag i dont think.. correct me if im wrong because im just guessing)
airport west can run, handball, are at last extreemly disciplined and from what i watched have great football brains.
and their combinations of talls and quicks in their forward line will be difficult to match up on
im just going on previous years with hadfeild
