No way are sydenham the shambles, played 3 very good sides, low on confidence and undermanned atm

thought east keilor would beat paccoe by more than 2 points :S
guess anything can happen in wet weather conditions.

hadfield beating moonee valley by 160, showing they will be a very hard team to beat

northern saints seem to be quite underrated, only losing by 11 points to tullamarine and beating sydenham by 100+ and then roxy by almost a 100
top 4 in my opinion would be
hadfield
tullamarine
airport west
northen saints
and then oak park to come in 5th

any other guesses?

very interesting week in under 18 b grade..hadfield must be the real deal..to win by that much in the conditions that they were faced with is a great effort..i still beleive tulla must be the team to beat this year..only team to beat a quality opposition side in northern saints..apw had a good win against taylors lakes but also still yet to beat a quality side..and a surprise with ek only beating pacco by a few points..

good to see the reigning premiers get there first win of the year aswell

any1 else with any thoughts from round 4?

very suprising about paco nearly getting up mayb EK had a few out
who knows
jacana are DIRTY, 3 sharks stretchered n had about 14 fit men n still won, lotta heart down there
westy are a bit of a suprise at 1-3 very even mid range of the competition fighting for 4th and 5th
but oak n NS lead the charge
 
Hadfield are the real deal. A win that big in the wet conditions must tell you something. It seems the four stand outs this year are Hadfield, Nth Saints, APW and Tulla. I think they have all played each other once by about round 12 so we will then have a better idea. Nth Saints V Hadfield in round 6 will be a cracker.

heres mine.

AIRPORT WEST v MOONEE VALLEY - 9 goals. moonee valley need a reallly good start to keep in the game.

ROXY V JACANA - Roxy just seem a lil more competitive then jacana. roxy by 6 goals

TULLA V OAK PARK - tulla are obvissualy one of the front runners cant see them losing. just on 100 points.

HADFIELD V PASCOE VALE - this could be the longest day pascoe vale has ever had i wouldnt be suprised if pacco dont rock up. 150+ lol.

EAS KEILOR V NORTHEN SAINTS - northen saints are underrated, east kelior shouldnt be to competitive. Northen saints by 7 goals.

WESTMEADOWS V TAYLORS LAKES - ive sen taylors lakes play not a bad side they are big and depends on who plays seniors for westy this could go either way but id say taylors lakes needa win this game for any type of chance to make finals. taylors lakes by 4 goals.

Yes a couple of inetresting games this week,

AIRPORT WEST v MOONEE VALLEY - 15 goals. moonee valley will be too slow for a quick APW team.

ROXY V JACANA - Roxy by 3 goals but could be a 3rd quarter knock out. Two teams that can't help themselves.

TULLA V OAK PARK - Hear that Tulla have a few out but shouldn't make a difference. Tulla by 70 points

HADFIELD V PASCOE VALE - Hadfield to have over 60 scoring shots, Pacco to have less than 5 scoring shots.

EAST KEILOR V NORTHEN SAINTS - Northen Saints to win this by 15+ goals.

WESTMEADOWS V TAYLORS LAKES - Westy really struggling this year, their last couple of good players playing seniors and TL are not a bad side. TL by 15 goals.

Unfortunatley the comp is split again with 4 very good sides, 3 not too bad and the rest pretty awful. The only two top teams that play each other twice are Haddy & Nth Saints.

WESTMEADOWS V TAYLORS LAKES - Westy have there best 5 or 6 playing seniors every week. Taylors lakes by 4 goals

No really important games this week, all this week will do is split the top 4 teams even more from everone else.

AIRPORT WEST v MOONEE VALLEY - depending on the weather if its not wet airport west by 12 goals but if its wet this could help moonee valley because apw wont be able to run and attack with a heavy footy. apw should only get up by 6 or 7 goals.

ROXY v JACANA - Roxy couldnt be this bad i'd say they should get up at home aswell.

TULLA V OAK PARK - Oak park are doing well but i'd tip tulla by 15 goals, tulla will have to much depth.

HADFIELD V PASCOE VALE - This could be a long long long 4 quaters for pacco hafielf to score over 200.

EAST KIELOR V NORTHEN SAINTS - If east kelior wanna prove to the comp they are a contender this is there time to get up. Northen saints by 7 goals.

WESTMEADOWS V TAYLORS LAKES - Westy have their good players in seniors and i dont midn the look of Taylors lakes. Taylors lakes by 5 goals.

HADFIELD V PASCOE VALE - haddy has boosted there seniors side with 3-5players going up so i rekon haddy by 15goals+

EAST KIELOR V NORTHEN SAINTS - east keilor just scraped through with a 2point win over pacco. Northern Saints by 10goals+

WESTMEADOWS V TAYLORS LAKES - taylors lakes are alright and westy aint to much chop. taylors by 5goals.

tulla struggled a bit today a lot of players out and shit conditions only won by 3 goals or so but matty b back in the side made a big difference and is stiking with his mates this year and has called it quits in the seniors and playing the rest of the season in the 18s ... should b a cracker game tulla v haddy with tulla hopeully having their full side in by then

Some interesting results amongst the top 4 sides with Tulla, Nthn Saints and Haddy all getting wins but no where near the margins expected. Saw Freeman from Haddy kicked three in the seniors, obviously made a difference, could make the Saints favorites for this weeks big clash if he stays in the 1s. What about the Saints, did they have any out or are East Keilor the Jeckle & Hyde team of the comp, one week great next week terrible. Someone said Tulla had a few out but they are boasting good depth so you would expect the margin to be bigger. I think the results have shown that OP is not that bad a side, with a lot of first year players they will only get better as the year goes on. Suddenly TL v Tulla at the paddock is shaping up to be a good game as well.

Looks like one of the best rounds so far with Nth V Haddy, TL V Tulla and the Grand Final replay coming up. Even though Roxy & SH are having a tough year they will be evenly matched and there will be plenty of pride and passion in the game. look forward to eveyone's tips later in the week.

are amoungst the undefeated teams and have not really been challenged yet
(taylors lakes game the exception in poor conditions but still easy 8 goal win)
they continue to improve, smashing moonee valley on saturday
and there was talk of moonee valley being a bolter this year for the top 5
it is sad that there will be no challenge for them until round 9 against hadfeild
hopefully there is clean conditions at hansen reserve so we can see how both teams fair

you clearly are from apw u talk them up so much whats so good about them, i heard they're midfield and forward line are really good but i havent heard much about they're backline who plays back?

They were maybe 4-5 players off being full strength, East Keilor play well at home and from what I can tell they have some players that only play home games which may explain why they are so up n down.

think about it.. i have said i am from airport west
i dont play for them, but have watched every week
and the reason i talk them up i because of what i have seen
they look clearly one of the better teams in the competition
and for those who havnt seen, the results speak for themself
true they havnt been challenged yet,
apart from tulla beating northern saints
which one of the top 3 teams have?
if they are smashing middle of the range teams then why is anyone speculating if they are any good?
they have alot of good players who can take on any role
and their backline has some good players who can run and rebound
alex edmunds, zac depetro, jason portelli, and michael turley can all stop their own man and run off to create scoring opertunities for players up the ground
im not saying they are better than hadfeild and tullamarine
but i dont think that any of the 3 teams have stood out as the leader
going to be a great finish to the season
