Just a quick wrap up of the APW and Haddy Game,
Very fast game game, Haddy came out of the blocks to be ahead, at the 1st break, 2nd quarter was a down fall for Haddy as 2 players were sent off throughout the 1/4, which left haddy with 16 on the paddock, which really hurt them, as in one of my last posts NUMBER 10 for Haddy, Got to be the most UNdisiplined player in the Comp , Selfish and thinks Football is a one person Team, Dude take up golf or maybe ping pong..........., APW played very well. Welshy played well in the ruck when he was there although put down in the last quarter by the Haddy Ruckman, Ben Daly held the team together for APW roving the packs and did some amazing stuff when playing up forward. at 3/4 time there was less than a kick in it, and the eagles had the wind and th scoring end in the last 1/4, HF came back to be in it with in a point but the Haddy was out coached in the last quarter.
Final wrap up, a few undisiplined players at haddy pretty much costed them the game as they might have been up by a few more goal by half time and their coach was out coached in the last 12 mins of the game, .
was a good game to watch and nice to catch up with Kevin Donnelly. No doubt it was the practice match to the Grand Final

i watched today
all through the game bar a few small slow patches
airport west ran them off the legs and were alot more disciplined than haddy
although haddy had some players in the firsts
they seemed to lack fitness and run
when the game started getting more physical in the 2nd quarter
HADDY were dominated by a determined APW team
there is a definate question mark over hadfeilds heart when the pressure is on
airport west are by far the team to beat this season now
especially now TULLA lost m. bligh today to a broken wrist
a well deserved rest for apw this week.
best game i have seen in a long time in under 18 footy

as i was saying matty b aswell played most of the year last year in the ones and played in the grand final team
both merolis were training at vfl clubs and ares till 18's playing ones in a quality side
and ben kelso who did captain the e.d.f.l side also played most of the year in the ones last year there is 5 of ur top 10 there

i think its fair to say that if you're turning 19 playing 18s you're going to be in top 10 or so players in the comp. such is the case of blighe, kelso merolis and so on. so with the talk of the best under 18s players in the comp i rkn it should be reserved for legit under 18 players

EK playen very good footy
and the valley looked to regain some form after an ordinary win over pacco vale..decent effort to knock off northern saints and i heard they were 10 goals up at one stage?
anyone got any info on that match? who played well...rough assessment of the game?
and any information on jacana? must of picked up a few players lately or wat? got pumped by roxy earlier in the year and now they r beating oak park n tulla..?

u make a good point though the eagles were well coached throughout that last quarter..i noticed that wen hadfield were pressured in that 2nd qtr they seemed to lack a leader to fire them up..especially with #10 on the pine for an undisciplined act. all in all an amazing showcase of football from both sides and the next time we get to see them is in the finals..deff a game not too miss.

ok Noodles as a Ruckman and the guy wearing the 17 number . he kept you in the game , sorry , I just visit different games to check out the talent as there is many different games to watch,and like i said , i think there is no doubt the game from the weekend in the 18 b's is the practice match to the GF good luck to both teams

its funny how airport west have now had the challenge that everyone was waiting for
they won by outplaying the opposition and without their captain
and still people are not convinced they are the team to beat

No ones out of it yet with 1 game between 3rd and 9th. TL are playing very well, EK pushed APW to 7 pts and are having some BIG wins, MV are 5th and if they can put their best side on the park out there seem to be right up there. Tulla keep telling us how good they are but have beaten anyone yet (except for NS) and lost to Jacs, TL and SH but had a big win over Roxy. The next 3 - 4 weeks will tell it all. All of the teams still in it play each other, so whoever gets the runs on the booard will be there.

As for the top of the tree, here are the facts, APW beat Haddy after being 3 pts down at 3 qtr time and have earned the top spot. These two are clearly the form sides and deserve their spots. They will finish 1 and 2. As for the rest It's basically only % that makes the difference so they are all in the same group. If they have played Pacco and Westy yet helps where they they sit. My Final 5 APW, Haddy, NS, Tulla, MV in that order.

As I stipulated in my posts, the practice GF was on the weekend, saying that Both Haddy and APW were the teams which would most likely be in the GF so I am not taking away anything from APW at all, they are Defitnatly the yard stick in the 18 B's, Haddy are good under pressure but at the end of the day one of the factors was the toss of the coin which determined 1 part of the game, the scoring end of the feild was the west end of the ground and the wind ws pretty favorable which endevoured the team which was kicking to the west end in the final Quarter.
I think if both teams came togther at a different location , I think the out come might be different, both team were weighed and measured and APW were no doubt the best on the day.
The fitness of some of the Haddy players were lacking forsure, and a lack of direct marking, something the coaching staff there would need to look at, Sorry to hear that Bligh has broken his wrist. Just an up and comer for tulla is Bert McNamara, coming along very well and quiet a talented player for Tulla
