Hey guys wondering how the pre-seasons have gone for each team and which teams are looking solid?
Word around the traps is hampton are struggling already

the vultures have had some solid numbers at training with a few dragons players coming down to play....looking likely to finish better than last years poor effort hopefully to make finals. it will be very interesting to see how the school teams go (monash, melbourne) as their player list should almost be all fresh.

Looking forward to seeing some games this year.

I find it astounding that Beaumaris have ended up in this division.

Monash I hear had a massive turn over of players something like 20 players. Lets hope we can see them get quickly back into the business end.

Ajax as expected to be up there, they are really talking themselves up over in the senior section. However Ajax march Brides.....

Hampton tough as always but I don't see them being anywhere near what they were.

Parkdale probably their time to get cracking.

Bentleigh and Prahran about the same...Prahran with a few 2nd year players could be strong competition.

Penninsula so unfortuneate that they struggle they are good people down there. A good school with same strong past players at all levels.

However early indications are just that... early indications.

Beaumaris also has a team playing premier so I would imagine that the team in south (2) is their second team - anyone from beaumaris know what the quality will be like?

I think improvement will come from mhsob and parkdale. hampton could well be the sliders...have to think ajax will be strong as usual.

Hampton had a narrow loss on the weekend, hardly fielding a full side. While Bentleigh disposed of Forrest Hill comfortably down at Phillip Island on Sunday, again with many players not making the trip down to the Island.

talking to a beauie player, it sounds like their second team will consist of mostly younger bottom age 19 players (their premier team wont change too much, besides a few good youngsters replacing top age 19's). So dunno how good they
ll be.....they may have to get some experience throughout the side, but we'll find out after a few rounds.

does anyone one know if old mentonians are any good?

peninsula came home three points up over prahran on saturday at toorak park. both teams with shortish numbers, although prahran looked the better side for the day

Monash beat both caulfield U19's and rowville U18's. Starting slowly and finishing strongly

went to watch some friends play for rowville during the monash praccy match and noticed monash had recruited a couple of handy players from their opposition. Knowing a couple of these boys monash could be very handy if they get going.

tips for saturday,

hampton vs parkdale- parkdale just by under 10 points

pennisula vs prahran- pennisula by 20 odd points

monash vs bentleigh- bentleigh just by about 10 points

ajax vs beauie- ajax by alot

old mentonians v melbourne high- mentonians by 40 points

mail is they have lost a number of guys - seniors included so the talent will be sapped somewhat unless an influx of past players return.

swap hampton and old mentone then swap parkdale with bentleigh and you've got the right ladder. hampton beat Om buy a few goals in a praccy match with hampton fielding only 18 players, whilst OM had a full team.

get your shit together timmy.

I think they get the choice, besides i don't think there is a set rule for it as we see that Beaumaris dropped down after a flag win.

it's only the premiers that go up and last goes down. seeing that monash werent premiers they stay down....and that is beauie's second team..their premier team went up to premier division...come on crags lift your game

Ajax smashed them by over 20 goals ,,,,,,,,,

just think what two-three years of bonding will do for the MHSOB team if they are indeed all 17
