Yeh bloods just ran out of time in the end, were going to come home strong but got beaten by the siren...again. apparently no. 18 doesnt go into contests as hard as possible because he doesn't want to hurt any1 too badly, he is just too big for u/19s.

are u serious? they lost by 10 goals, hampton should have beaten them by alot more but they were resting guys and changing possitions after half time. you can be to old for u/19s but not to big, no matter how big you are shouldnt change your hardness at the football!

yeh and the bloods would have easily won if the last quarter went for a little longer, they were easily the best team on the day but got crucified by the time-keeper, anyone who says anything else is simply kidding themselves and obviously wasn't watching the game i was. only thing stopping the bloods was pinto, how good is this kid???

you can be too big for u19s when you're as big as no.18, i wouldn't want to come up against him, lucky he plays for the mighty bloods.

Hahahah..ur an idiot erickson:)

are u guys talking about dolman? coz he is easily the softest player in haileybury 19's. Thats why he is not playing 1's down there. He has got the body to play senior footy but he is a powderpuff.

how does pinto go? i saw him a few weeks back against st bedes and didnt see him get a touch.. and didnt see him pick up a man all day..
there is no such thing as being to big for 19s..

pinto killed it against haileybury on the weekend, gave them alot of run from out of the centre, between him and michael stowe would have easily been a 10 goal difference between the two sides. dolman isn't soft either, thats just a stupid thing to say, works his ass off every match...just coz ur big doesnt mean you need to go around throwing ur weight into the packs every contest. does hard running every match and has some of the best hands in the whole of the u/19s and that isnt an exaggeration.

yeah but you can throw ur weight around at least ONCE in a match. doesnt go near a pack at all, he is no good under pressure. onli looks good wen he is out on his own. and i dun see him taking big marks either. im not saying he is a shit player. im just saying he doesnt play a hard mans game. he plays soft.

you obviously haven't been watching all his games this year then otherwise we're talking about a very different person.

If he's soft and no good.....why did Mazenod tag him???
At U19 level, not many guys get tagged so your coaches opinion of him must be alright.

did i eva say dolman was shit? i said he was soft. and yeah we tagged him coz he stands about half a kick behind the play and runs thru. he is good at that and he is fit. and if we had a half decent side in on the day he would not be tagged.

Dolman is a machine. The boy could run all day long. But i agree, he is soft at the footy. A bloke with arms the size of 5 year olds such as he should be blowing packs apart instead of shimmying around the outskirts waiting for the easy ball. Whats going on at Haileybury? Seems very topsy turvy at the moment.

ok anyway end of dolman debate there is otha shit to talk about in south section. maz hav bedes this week, which should be interesting playing on a sardine can. im predicting a lot of pack / ugly footy. are st bedes 2's any good considering there 1's are unbelievable?

Results suggest they are finding some form. Lost a few close ones early to Hailrybury and Monash. Have beaten the likes of hampton and ajax and are currently 3 on the trot. Not to be underestimated, especially at the Sandpit.
Might throw the tips down too while im here.
Haileybury should take care of the Vultures if they throw out the trash talk and the arrogance and just play footy. I'll take the bloods by 7 goals.
Peninsula were gallant in defeat last week, more scoring shots than St Bedes in a promisng display from the Mt Elizians. Monash have got a long hike down to take on the Pirates but i think they will still emerge with the four points by 4 goals.
2 very good games to follow these,
Ajax vs Hampton is a great battle. Ajax have been lack lustre when facing a decent opponent in recent weeks and would love to turn this around against the rovers. However the Hampton boys are flying at the moment and a win here will cement themselves in the 4 and put them in place for real premiership contention. I think the rovers will take the Jakkas down by 11 points.
Finally, Mazenod taking on St Bedes at the Sandpit will be a beauty. Beda in their comfort zone, Mazenod sitting atop the ladder, should be a cracking affair. Mazenod certainly have prowess going forward, plenty of the boys contributing for goals already this season. Interesting to see if it will continue at Brindisi were they will need to play a different style of footy. The otehr question is wether Driver, the 9 goal hero from a fortnight ago will be pulling the boots on for Maz again. Lots things are going to decide this match, but at home you gotta love the Tigers chances, well lead by Shane Jones who is finding real touch. Tigers by 14.
Good luck this weekend boys
Johnny Blaze:thumbsu:

Prahran-Caufield Vs. St. Bedes/Mentone this w/e.

Will Prahran come out with an upset?

With a week off, fresh legs, 5 of our injured regular 22 comming back in, i'd say we'd give them a fair run.

Home ground advantage does come into play, we've lost 1 outta 3 games, and hoping to make it 1/4.

Any other game talk?

Jaccas Vs. Bloods

Rovers Vs. Monash

Mazenod Vs. Vultures

There has been like zero trash talk, or any talk for that matter in the past few days...nerd up you computer geeks

bloods will smash ajax this week, easily the form side of the competition after running away with the game against league powerhouse Parkdale last week.

Mazenod should beat the vultures though regardless of how good they are, they will find it to hard to bounce back from the loss last week.

Rovers and Monash will be game of the round, if its at hampton's ground then cant see them being beaten, if its a wet day then Monash's tall will have no impact and the game will be over early.

and prahran v. st bedes will go the way of the beders in what shouldn't be too exciting a game. dave atkins has been on fire this season and will kill it all around the ground.

Yep the bloods are the form side of VAFA! Bottom of the ladder in 1's and reserves. 2 games outta the 4 in 19's. look out... Haileybury are stirring some sonic brew down at mckinnon.

prahran-caufield def. st bedes by 14 points in the end.

up and down all day, major prahran figure head ruckman sprayed an ankle in the first 2 minutes of the match was a major injury to the team. But we held in there and came out with the much needed points.

From the reports i've heard, the game was lost by St Bedes rather than won by prahan. "the worst display of football" was how their effort from saturday was labelled.
They would want to pull their fingers out down at Brindisi!!

get down to elsternick this friday nite. Mazenod vs Hampton. Should be a cracker under lights :thumbsu:

Some good games shaping up this round, Hampton v Mazenod should be a ripper. Prahran v Parkdale should be a close one, Prahran picked up a good win over St Bedes and look a tight unit, while Parkdale have some key players returning from injury looking to provide some sort of forward structure and relieve the pressure on the midfield to kick the vast majority of their score, as has been the trend. Monash and St Bedes battle it out for 4th spot, huge week for St Bedes who cant afford a repeat of last week with blokes turning up late as Monash have Prahran, a bye and Parkdale in the coming rounds. Ajax's recent form should hold them in good stead against Peninsula who are at home and fresh from a break.

Mid point of the season, any club best and fairest tips?
