Underated - Definately Houlihan. People are always criticizing him but he has sensational skills that are so incredibly valuable to a side, especially one where a number of players have disposal problems. He consistently gets lots of the ball and actually hurts the opposition. Can also play a tagging role well, yet people talk about him like he is a dud.
Overated - Jordan Russell. Have never seen the hype considering how much some supporters go on about him. He's not that quick, can't find the ball and his kicking (really annoying because people always say he is a great kick) and decision making is horrible. He has also barely ever played a fantastic game in the reserves and should be made to earn his spot next year.
In saying this I do hope he can step up next year as he looks like a decent kid and I have not totally given up hope. It is a make or break year for him though.

Overrated: Definitely Andrew Walker. His performances dont justify the massive wraps he gets on here.
Underrated: Marc Murphy. Sometimes I dont think people on here recognise how seriously good this guy is. Switch Pendlebury and Murphy around this year and peoples attitudes would be a lot different.

underated: heath scotland = amazing talent a good leader off half back he is like a quater back setting up the play great footskills and is not soft like houla. tries his hardest and puts his body on the line. he is the forgot man at carlton with fev murphy gibbs stevo etc. also i think jackson and blackwell are close behind for underated.

I like the way no-one mentioned Hackland. Is it because he is not even rated.
Hartlett is very overrated, from myself included. I think its because we expect big things from him, with his big body and booming kick, as well as his aggression. But an outsider could look at him and say he has done absolutely nothing to warrant some of our claims.
I think Houlihan is still underrated by this board, and I think Brad Fisher is very, very underrated by the football public (not us).

Not harsh, absolutely laughable.
For him to still be new to the game to do things he did in just his SECOND game against Melbourne should show anyone he is a hugeeeee prospect with massive potential! I hardly see how that is overrating him.

i agree Houlihan also is played out of position for bit of his cerea hopefully now with hadlee to take spot of running back and with a proper midfeild he will play at what i think his best position HFF

He's only overated in the sense that some people are suggesting we pass on Kreuzer because we have him. He's still very much a project, however a very tantalizing one.
