I think the show is getting better as it goes along. Just watched the one about 'making a crust'.

I watched Newstopia straight after. Thought I was seeing things.

Also noticed this on wikipedia :

Despite only having worked for eight months during the 1980s at a fish and chip shop, [name removed for non- spoiler purposes] was killed wearing Versace clothing and a $20 000 watch, and was laid to rest in a gold-plated coffin.

I reckon they would have had to have put six feet of concrete over that coffin.

How can we watch the episodes if they havn't been aired yet???

some of us are future people. We can go forward to the date the show is aired, tape it to dvd, then come back and watch it. You must have blu ray though as all dvd players are blu ray when these episodes come out!!

Oh BTW, Lotto numbers for next week are 3,7,21,25,34 and supps of 29 and 31! :thumbsu:

Bookmarked, and the lawyers are on notice in case you are lying.

The whole thing about the blu-ray just seems to detailed to be made up, so my hopes are high.

I've seen all 13 eps and driving through Mansfield to do a easter w/end of hell (camping) I saw the Underbelly Book on sale.

Its a great read, I hate reading books yet I got through 150 pages on the first day.

Looking for Leadbelly next.

I saw that in the bookshop the other day, and I thought I saw the names of the authors of Leadbelly on it so I assumed it was the same book, just renamed to cash in on the TV show. I didn't look at it closely though, as I won't buy until after the series finishes. I have only a vague understanding of how the war panned out and I don't want to sit there pointing out all the divergences from real life.

Just watched ep 11. It's not too bad but id prefer to wait until I get some TV rips as a fair bit of dialogue was missing. What episode they up to in other states?

Have seen ten episodes.

Some comments :

* Why the sex scenes in every episode ? They don't add anything to the show and it just seems like two minutes of filler to me.
* Why do the police mention every crim by both their names. Its really annoying. For example its always Jason Moran or Dino Dibra or Carl Williams. These crims were pretty well known enough that if you just mentioned they're first or second name only they would know who you were talking about.
* Richard Mladenvich was one of the most well known crims in police circles. For the tv series to have the police characters not know who he was is laughable. Also Mladenvich was about 6'7 and a physical beast. Not the scrawny character we see on TV.
* Radev was short. In the TV series he is tall.
* The music is unnecassary in most cases.
* The relationship between the lead detective and his girlfriend is of no consequence to the overall plot. Why is it even there ?
* Of the actors the good so far have been those that have played : Mark Moran, Dino Dibra, Gangitano, Victor Brincat and Roberta Williams. The bad : Jason Moran (terrible), Lewis Moran, Carl Williams and Radev. The rest are just average.

There is absoloutly no comparison between Blue Murder and Underbelly. As expected Nine have tried to sex up Underbelly when there was no need to do so. There was enough genuine material to work with but they had to try and push it a little bit more.

The producers of Blue Murder knew that the plotline was good enough and didn't rely on ridiculous sex scenes or music to make it better.

Nine have fallen for the trap of dumbing down the story so that the masses out there would understand what was happening. As usual from a commercial network they think their audience is not as intelligent as what they actually are.

If this was done on the ABC it would be so much better but instead the material has mostly been wasted now. I'm not saying its terrible just that its disappointing to see something with so much potential be dumbed down so much..

Think some of the sex scenes were put into place to show how the girls always fell for them. Some are pointless though, like the cop and his girlfriend in the shower. Agree with ya on the performance's but I really rate the performance of the guy who plays Mick Gatto and I didn't mind the bloke who portrayed Carl William's.

One thing that I loved was the build up too Jason's murder and I think it was done pretty well from what I can remember.

I think they guy playing Carl Williams does a great job, the first few episodes I thought he was making him out to look too stupid but you could see the build up and how Carl's mind worked. Jason is over played a bit but the guy playing Mark does it a treat.

The woman playing Roberta is her, close your eyes and you'd think it was Roberta on screen.

13 episodes, 40 minutes each = 8 hours 40 minutes

13 episodes of 5 minutes crap sex = 1 hour 5 minutes.

13 episodes = 7 hours 35 minutes of actual story line:rolleyes:

Good Point,

Let me at the 1 hour 5 mins of crap sex scenes and throw the other 7hrs 35 mins of actual story line away. :p :p :p

BTW, you forgot to mentioned the 13 x 20 mins = 4hrs 30min of useless commercials (assuming you are watching it on nine)! !:D

Need more sex, Need more Sex, Need more Sex, Need more sex.:thumbsu::thumbsu:
