Getting my DVD copy sent down from QLD tonight where it has just come out on DVD by express post. I am in Victoria and have been waiting patiently.

I brought it on DVD today, live in Queensland. 3 Disc set, deleted scenes $45......bargain.

They did well with the finale last night, they did as best as they could. Everyone knew that Carl Williams would be arrested, so you weren't in for a surprise ending. It was well done, IMO.

It's a shame channel 9 didn't think about doing 2 seasons before it started. This "war" really could have gone for 2 seasons by itself and have included a lot of character development.

Anyone else besides the Victorians having trouble locating a copy of underbelly for sale? I went into kmart last night and some ____ing prick had around 15 copies of them & was saying to his mate on the way out how much he was going to make selling them on ebay....

The only way a second series will ever work is if Gatto gets arrested and jailed, so that all these things he has been alleged to have done can be told. Ditto Tony Mokbel I suppose, although with him it is a matter of when, not if. Gangitano pre-1995 is not a series in itself.

In regards to Underbelly, I find their portrayal of Williams to be a bit questionable. They make him seem so goofy that no one would of taken him seriously. Surely guys would have been shit scared of him as the head count kept rising?
The show keeps telling me that the Williams Crew were a bunch of idiots (except benji), while the Carlton Crew were all Al Pacinos. Did Judy Moran have a hand in the writing?

No but Mick Gatto was an "advisor" to the series.

Yeah absolutely, most of the actors in it are typical aussie tv actors who are out of work most of the time and even the more famous like Colosimmo do lots of tv work. He did a few episodes of Homicide for Ch7 last year.

yeh true carl is a little crrepy and goofy.yeh the williams crew were ________s eg: sean sonnet and even the runner was a bit annoying at times.
