Can anybody fill me in, in regards to pre 1995. My mate told me there was a shooting war between the cops and the carlton crew or something along those lines. Also i've heard underbelly missed alot of police corruption, this true?

there was an ambush on two policeman in melbourne and one of these guys involved was Victor Pierce who was later murdered which was good to see.The murder of the police was revenge for a mate of Pierce and his crew who was murdered i think??

I went to get Underbelly today and some lady bought them all

The same thing happened to me at Kmart. But i finally managed to track some down at Big W which they're selling them for $39.98 & the girl said that you're only allowed one copy per customer. Funny thing is that Bigw keep all the underbelly dvds under the shelf so people can't just walk in & grab a heap of copies like people were doing last week.

Roadshow Entertainment has banned all 'Underbelly' DVD products from online sale. All offers for sale must be withdrawn from the internet immediately.

Ebay have removed all 'Underbelly' DVD listings from sale and will monitor the site.

Please do not list any 'Underbelly' DVD products.

And yet i managed to get a copy off Ebay last week .
If they put them on with buy it now....they can sell them before Ebay cotton on .

You should have a DivX folder in your Program Files or in the Start Menu.

Ok cheers, havent got that program, I am part way through downloading the VLC media player, if that doesnt work I will give this other one a crack.

Which one is better in your opinion?

I don't have the VLC player and never have, so I'm not sure what that's like in comparison.

So I would say DivX since once you've installed the codec, you're free to use whatever player you like.

Just download VLC. It's all you'll ever need.

Update:

managed to view the episode with the media player. I happened to download the same dodgy version of episode 11 I had already been given.

anyone else struggled with that episode, 12 is a bit better but not much.

cheers mate, managed to watch the rest of the series this morning. Not ideal quality but it was good enough.

Great series, but I feel they rushed it a bit. Would of been great if they had started right at the very start, might of been able to push to 3 series. Could of incorporated Williams' court case and subsequent right to appeal, and Mokbel's flee to Greece and his extradition.

I thought the producers would have gone a bit more into Lewis Moran and him being a man of habit which brought down his early demise. Oh well. One more to go.

Bit of a thread dig but I reckon the Lewis Moran murder was deliberately shot like that so they could show the series. With the current murder trial, if they had gone into any more details I reckon the Supreme Court would have said the entire series can't be shown in Australia, let alone Victoria.

Was a shame - was very rushed but I like I said, I reckon they 'had' too.

I have suggested before that they could produce some story lines about things that happened after Carl Williams's arrest. They probably didn't talk about Tony Mokbel's crimes and flee to Greece because there are still some charges he's not guilty of yet. Mokbel himself reckons the portrayal of his character means he's not going to get a fair trial. The producers might have had to go easy on him or they might have been in some trouble.
