Colosimo stole the show and to have him killed off so early was a joke. I realise he died early but not in the first bloody episode. The rest of those jokers cant act to save themselves. Great script and the rest of it but god awful acting means it wont reach that many heights

Whts the solution then Embers? rewrite history so the he survived till the end? Perhaps have the 1995 events stretch out till about episode 10, then cram the remaining 9 years into the remaining episodes?

I know, how about we have him come back Obi Wan style for the rest of the series?

Play a different character. Most notably Mokbel

I'm only looking out for other posters mate. If you have firefox browser it will come up. I thought it might be something to do with being a torrent site but i go to plenty. I have never seen this warning before either. instal firefox and you'll see it. you are on some bad ass list

bottom of the page, you need firefox instaled to report the incorrect forgery report

Too many ads in my view - it just seems like there was 5 minutes show and 5 minutes of ads

Victoria isn't missing out on much.

Lazy, uninspired and derivative - basically Home and Away with guns.

Hack TV at its worst, which is a pity because this story deserves so much more.

Callan Mulvey the standout so far...

I thought it was ok, only because of the subject matter. The Black Prince how awesome was he:)

Whats up with the bloke that played Williams, its hard to believe that fat f@@k is the guy responsible for most of the " gangland killings"

This show has nothing on The Sopranos, but its watchable.

i read on the melbourne crime scene pages that aparently on the night the Black Prince got shot he earlier got a call from a certain perth 'Businessman' ..

Probably a good thing I won't see it, because if 9 spend 13 million on this story and **** it up I would be pissed off.

What a useless organisation they are.

It would have done big things in the ratings - 7's competition was minimal and I don't think many would have realised House was back (I think that show is sliding personally)

Callan Mulvey I think his name is. A scary looking fella! :thumbsu:

Drazic in Heartbreak High :o

I'm ashamed to know this, but he was a gun in that show. :D

Probably looks scarier cause he was in some big car smash a few years back, no doubt why he's got that big scar.

Yep, he was a pallbearer at his funeral too.

I couldn't think of a better bloke to play Alphonse than Vince...

I think Anthony Garcia was Alphonses personal choice, until Jason Moran shot him in the face of course

Spot on there re Vince - pity not enough of him on our screens-one of my fav aussie actors. Even managed a chuckle watching the show, scene at Princes Park and i think "that would be right, flipping Carlton supporters" not that i'm accusing them all of being crims, just joking.

I kicked back and watched it last night - really enjoyed it. Correct me if i'm wrong but looks like the producers are basing each episode on the alledged story leading up to certain characters departure from these shores. I remember when these people started dropping off, after a while got too confusing who was doing who and who wasn't paying.

It was also a Melbourne fix for me - trying to spot certain locations and remember all the details from the press at the time. I happened to be working not far from where Alphonse's funeral was held - cars doubled park all around the streets near the Vic Market, all sort of dark suited types with mini skirted female partners, cops lurking around very obviously taking down number plates.

Former NSW detective Roger Rogerson rates Underbelly

By Roger Rogerson February 14, 2008 04:41am

ROGER Rogerson is a former NSW detective who was at the heart of Sydney's gangland drug wars in the eighties.

I never liked Melbourne or their crooks. And watching Underbelly last night reminded me why.

It wouldn't have happened up here in Sydney like down there. We had more control over the crooks up here, and I reckon most of the crooks would agree.

But as entertainment it was pretty good with more sex than violence.

There was great ***.

It has to be remembered it's a dramatisation and as a drama goes, it was good. I thought Gerald Kennedy played a great "Munster", a bloke who I knew.

He looked real and I think the Munster was that type of guy, pretty humorous with a tough streak.

I mean he wasn't called the Munster for nothing but Kennedy got the spirit of Graham Kinniburgh.

All the guys seem to have their characters down pretty well.

The guy playing Carl Williams has got an amazing similarity to the real Carl Williams.

He played a fat, little jerk really well, which is exactly what I reckon Carl Williams would have been like.

And like crooks they had nice wives, kids at home and a nice family background.

Then they would go out with their good-looking girlfriends and be scum.

In that way it's pretty close to the real way crooks are.

If I had to make a comparison to Blue Murder I reckon it stacks up pretty well.

Like Blue Murder it's based on some facts with a fair amount of journalistic license and colour.

It's hard to compare the gangland wars of Melbourne in the 90's to Sydney in the 80's. Much like different eras in cricket, it's all changed now. The crooks and the cops aren't the same anymore. The control has gone.

We had nine killed in a year which was pretty good. It cleaned the streets up a bit and saved the taxpayer money, instead of sending them to jail.

It took me back a little, it's been 24 years since I left the police force.

For entertainment, I'd give it four out of five. I'll be watching again next week and at least it's home grown.

LOL, great *** :D

He's a hard funny bastard :thumbsu:

Just watched it and I've got to say I like it.

Well written and you feel like you're there.
