Mods i just went back to the first page and i couldnt see a warning about torrents? so why was my next door neighbour bazzar banned?

edit--- i just seen a "new" policy posted, but that was AFTER he was banned??????

Love it, love it, love it. Probably wouldn't watch it if the stories weren't real life events. 9 have spent alot of money on it and apart from the court order (shame for the Victorians) which ban the show being aired there, it looks like it's paying handsome dividends for them.
And I agree, Carl Williams would NOT be happy. But should we be feeling sorry for him? No ****in way. Still, I like the character, played by Gyron Grantley.

How mant times have you installed a program or joined a forum and read the rules? i bet 99.8% of BF members havnt.

Generaly it is spelt out at the appropriate time Ie; at the start of the underbelly thread, and even then some periodical reminder so people like my next door neighbour bazzar wouldnt get red carded for a genuine mistake.

And its not contempt of court to download it. The person who distributes it as in uploading is breaking the law, but its not against the law to download it for personal private viewing.

type in Underbelly on google, it'll come up with something like 20,000 hits, of these some 19,000 would be on the court order.

And if i do post a link and it is made crystal clear im not alowed to, then i should be red carded. Im just bemused my friend was, when at the time is wasnt a sticky on the media and entertainment thread.

Anyway, lets just get back to talking underbelly and enjoying it

In the end, not reading the conditions of use doesn't excuse you for not following them.

Has it even been tested in a court of law? Do you really agree to anything by clicking on a radio button?

Either way a bit of common sense would probably indicate that posting direct links aint a good idea, so the fella that got the card probably can't complain too much.

Look i just found out that sticky went up last night so thats a load of s h it that u gave me a yellow card but oh well.


I think i did the rright thing to tell you the truth and hopefully the people got the websites and started downloading it.

We don't mind people saying that a torrent is available on a certain site, but please do not put a direct link to the torrent. This has nothing to do with the legal case involving this show but with copyright infringement laws which torrents break.

PMing torrent links is fine. But you could say that is available on mininova and then people can go to that site and use its search function to find it. If they don't know how to find that site then they have this thing called google which is a big help. Why some people need to be spoon fed these things is beyond me.
