Underperforming premos are a constant source of anxiety in SC, what do we do with these guys? A big breakeven and poor form line doesn't look great, do we hold and trust in their talent or do we decide to move on.

My current Underperforming Premos
Wingard
Price: 496K
Average: 80
BE: 178
Holding and trusting that his form will turn around, I imagine a lot of teams will be bringing him in when he bottoms out.

T McDonald
Price: 446K
Average: 77
BE: 132
Really considering trading T Mac, be it this week or next week. Not sure his form will improve too much and looks to be limited scoring capacity compared to last year..

What stains on your team are you willing to call out?

Wingards average is influenced by that 53 he scored when he went off at half time with the hamstring issue. Was on track for a ton that day. He looked ok on Saturday, Port just got absolutely belted. I am holding him.

Im holding Wines for now. He will start scoring better and he tallies a few more contested possession and tackles. My M7 and hasn't lost any real value yet.

Definitely hold Wingard, he's capable of turning his season around and he hasn't even been that bad up to this point. I still see him as a top 10 forward or very close to it. The McDonald decision is trickier as I don't see him averaging above 80. I think oppositions are forcing him to be more accountable but IMO he can still be a solid back 6 or 7. Then again if you haven't used many trades and you don't have one or more of Shaw/Rance/Laird/Gibson then an upgrade could well be worthwhile. Tough decision!

Personally, I've been very aggressive with my trades so I've already ditched McGovern and Barlow. Unfortunately I traded in Cripps for Barlow so I may end up regretting that trade but I'm still confident Cripps can average 105 or so from now on. Sheridan probably should be on the chopping block but for some reason -perhaps stubbiness- I still think he can end up averaging 80+ from now on. Also I've used so many trades correcting my initial lineup that I feel I need to keep the faith with someone despite the fact that I don't have any of the gun backs i.e Shaw/Rance/Laird/Gibson etc

I also have Wines! Another guy not putting out his best! I will hold and he should be good for 90-100 until I can upgrade his fat ass!

Bontempelli was a mistake from me, I traded him to Zorko last week before Zorkos bubble burst.

Ditched Barlow for Zerrett also, Wells will average miles more than Barlow so I thought Barlow has no value as F7 type, so I just need Montagna up forward now and Wells becomes a M9/F7 once my team is upgraded

I think you have to weigh up is the player you trade in going to be much better than the bust you started with and is your bust averaging more than rookies/have a DPP advantage etc.

Normally I'd hold a bust and use them as a D7/M9/F7, I'm doing this in RDT, but in SC I see no value in doing this this year as its costing me points and rookie defenders are scoring really well to rival underperforming premiums so yeah.....

Sam jacobs.

Would have actually traded him out this week if I didn't have to offload JJ.

He better get involved quickly, i'll let him off for last week when he was having some ankle issues, but he is high on my list of trades if he doesn't at least top the ton soon.

I have Chad but I'm defnetly holdingboun him. He'll bounce back 100%, fully expecting him to end the year averaging 95+

My draft team is concerning me premo wise

Pendles, Wines and Jacobs :(

Pendles will come good pretty soon, cant be much further off 100% either.

Does anyone think melbournes form and improvement of players has a flow on effect on reducing T Mac's output? I might bite the bullet and go to Rance as he is a great defender in a shit side, hence will absorb more of the points available for Richmond.

TMac seems to be playing more defensively this year, which is really more suited to him. The fact that some of the younger guys are stepping it up with their run from defense should see TMac role continue to become more lock down more than anything else. And he doesn't get the love in that role that Rance does.

Who's the biggest pain in your ass right now MM? I feel this year with the lack of rookie cash generation early upgrading an underperforming premo is a potential strategy, especially with the lack of class rookies emerging

I agree with that.

I offloaded Barlow already, and Jacobs is on my radar now as well.

Would have swapped him up this week if i didn't have to replace JJ instead.

Shiel, Pendles and Shaw are under performing as well, but at this stage Shiel and Pendles are doing good enough to stay (i.e. not bad enough to warrant a sideways trade just yet), and there isn't any point in off loading Shaw, still averaging 90, so no point in straight swapping him out for someone else that will probably only average the same from this point on.

I have Boyd, SGray & Barlow at the moment unlike most I'll be holding for now and concentrating on trading in Premos rather than wasting cash and trades on sideways moves. Will see where I'm at in the next 4 or 5 weeks hopefully they''l turn it around if not at least be serviceable until we reach the byes and I'll make some sideways trades then.
