So looks like he will retire always been great value had a great career

What i thought we could do is refect on the dead mans career

Best WM Match - Shawn Michaels 2
Best Feud - Hard to go past something with Kane i enjoyed his feud with Michaels aswell
Best Raw Match - Ladder match against Jeff Hardy when he was the American Badass
Best PPV Match - Undertaker vs Edge Summerslam

If you can think of anything more throw it in

Best memory is seeing him live. He did that thing where he stood at the top of the ramp and raised his arm. Looked right at me (Okay, it was in my general area, but it looked like he was staring at me. I remember being the only one standing up, and I am quite tall so not hard to miss). That was a brilliant night. Then snuck back stage and saw him walking around.

I always enjoyed Undertaker vs Eddie Guerrero vs Booker T vs JBL for the WWE Championship in 2004. I think it was Armageddon or Judgement Day.

Yeah. One of the Rod Laver events, cant remember what year it was though. Remember Paul Heyman was there, so Brock must have been to. It was a year I got the cheap seats instead of front row so spent most time trying to sneak backstage.

Must have been 2003. Since Brock left WWE before the 2004 tour.

It might not have been Brock, but heyman was definitely there cause I remember my dickhead mate yelling out the 'hilarious' joke of "Get a haircut Paul!"

Damn, I was always disappointed I never got to see him live. I went to passport to Smackdown in 2003 (I think the brand split was still going and he may have been on Raw?) and the 2005, 2007 and 2009 events but he always had time off when they came.

Are the matches in order??
If so, then I would be very disappointed with that mainevent.

If I remember correctly, each city back then got different rosters. This is the RAW roster, so..Melbourne probably got the Smackdown roster (which Taker was on at the time).

YEah I think its the only time I saw him too. It wasn't too long after his ABA gimmick. I was stoked I got to see him as the deadman.

Couldn't tell you, i've been to so many events, other than Global Warning they are all a blur.

Went to one with another mate of mine when Luther Reigns was still kicking around. Ring side seats we stood up and gave him the bird. He stared right through my mate with the angriest eyes we have ever seen. Sat right back down in our seats then. Quite scary at the time even though we knew he wouldn't do anything. But enough of my stories, more of Taker! :p

I remember at one of the events (I think it was 2009) we found a gap in the curtain where you could see backstage so this started to draw a crowd of about 10 people just watching the wrestlers warm-up, (heel at time) Orton walked into view and everyone started shouting his name to get hit attention, he looks up and flips the bird and walks off. :D

Yeah RVD did that to us, he was warming up doing his stretches before a match. arseh*le :P

The thing that I have really missed about the Undertaker over the last few years are the epic promos that he used to have.
Here's a great one:

Found this recap of the 2003 Passport to Smackdown event:

Hey. I went to the Perth, Australia "Passport to Smackdown" show last night in. . . Perth.

Here's a little recap for you. . .

Show opens with some pyros and screaming crowd and the like. Then Ric Flair comes down to the ring. "I love coming to Australia. The girls are all really hot. Yadda yadda yadda." Crowd cheers for the cheap pops etc. Then Paul Heyman comes down. "The crowd can't boo me, I'm an American and that means I'm better than you." Big heat for that. . . Lots of "w***er" chants. Funny stuff. Champagne Comedy!

Flair hits Heyman a couple of times and then in comes A-Train to knock Flair out of the ring, setting up a match later that night.

Match 1: Tajiri (c) vs Rey Mysterio vs Jamie Noble - Cruiserweight Title.

Kind of a slow grounded style for these guys. Crowd was hot for Rey Rey though. Started with double teaming by Mysterio and Noble on Tajiri. Mostly kicks and punches and a couple of suplexes. Face communication breaks down though, and Noble and Mysterio then start going at it as well. Double 619 set up eventually but to no avail. They repeat that RVD/Christian/Y2J triple top rope powerbomb move from their IC triple threat a couple of months back. Finish comes when Tajiri hits the green mist and kick to the face on Noble for the win. After the match, Rey Rey hits a 619 on Tajiri.

Winner and STILL champion: Tajiri

Match 2: The Self Proclaimed World's Greatest Tag Team vs Funaki and Billy Kidman

Good match with a lot of heal heat and shenanigans from TSPWGTT. Funaki played face in peril for most of the match making the hot tag to Kidman about 5 minutes in. Finish came when Kidman hits an SSP on Haas (i think) for the win. Who woulda thunk it? After the match as TSPWGTT walked up the ramp, a bif You Suck chant started.

Winners: Funaki and Billy Kidman

Match 3: Shannon Moore vs Ultimo Dragon

Very disappointed from these guys, especially Ultimo. He didn't seem to want to be out there. I can't even remember the finish to this one, but Ultimo won.

Winner: Ultimo Dragon

Match 4: Basham Brothers (c) vs Los Guerreros - Tag Titles

BIG pop for Guerreros, especially Eddie. "Eddie, Eddie" chants going throughout most of the match - as well as some "Chavo, Chavo" chants. No low rider on entrance. Easily best match of the night. Chavo played face in peril while Eddie entertained the crowd with a little comic relief with the ref. Crowd was cracking up when Eddie slid the tag rope down the top rope so he could walk up and down the ring side while still holding the rope. When ref went to fix it, Eddie runs in fakes the hot tag. Finish comes when Bashams knock out Chavo with the belt and pin him to retain.

Winners and STILL champions: Bashams

Match 5: A-Train vs Ric Flair

Another big pop for Flair. Nice little match with Train dominating with power moves throughout most of it. Flair would come back with chops and the like and get overpowered again. However, Flair managed to lock on the figure four and A-Train tapped out. Big pop for that. After the match, A-Train calls back Flair saying that he isn't finished with him yet. Flair cautiously enters the ring and Train extends his hand to shake it. Flair slowly accepts and then Train lifts his hand in the air and jumps out of the ring to a big pop.

Winner: Ric Flair

Match 6: Big Show and Matt Morgan vs John Cena and Hardcore Holly

Cena comes out first to major face heat. Raps about how fat Big Show is. Does really timely Australian touches like how Big Show sucks like English Rugby (quite clever as England beat Australia in the final of the Rugby World Cup - big sporting event worldwide). Weird bit where Cena calls out Big Show, who he's been rapping about the whole time, then Matt Morgan's music hits and he comes out. Then Big Show, who gets on the mic and talks about being big boned (to "You Fat Bastard" chants). Big Show then says that Cena can pick anyone from out the back to be his partner. Holly comes out, and it's on. Back and forth with Holly getting tossed around a bit. Cena tags in and takes out Show and Morgan. Cena eventually gets Show up and hits the F-U for the pin.

Winners: John Cena and Hardcore Holly

*** intermission ***

And we're back. . .

Match 7: Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty vs Nunzio and Johnny Stamboli

Fun little match with the crowd really into it. All the spots are hit, as you would expect. Run-in from Chuck Palumbo but to no avail as faces win with. . .actually, I can't remember how the won. But they did. . .

Winners: Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty

Match 8: Nidia vs Shaniqua vs Dawn Marie - Tiny Teddy Match

Bradshaw came down to stand in the corner and do nothing. This wasn't really fair, as a friend of mine pointed out. You have a blind girl against an ugly girl against a girl who gets to do a 5 minute strip tease. Who do you think is going to win?

Winner: Dawn Marie

Match 9: Brock Lesnar (c) vs Chris Benoit - WWE Title

Good match with lots of teases of Crossface and F5. Even a tease of an SSP from Brock. Throughout the entire match, I was waiting for the run-in from Nathan Jones (who was notable by his absence). Cool spot near the end where Lesnar has Benoit up for an F5 but Benoit reverses it to Crossface, but in doing so, managed to kick the ref in the head knocking him down for a bit. Lesnar then taps but there's no ref. As Benoit goes to revive the ref, Lesnar grabs the belt, clocks Benoit, the ref revives, Lesnar pins Benoit. 1-2-3. Bah. Fun match til the ending though.

Winner and STILL WWE Champion: Brock Lesnar

All in all, it was a fun night. My first WWE show since about 1991. Crowd wasn't bad either. About 12,000 in total (according to Flair in his opening promo). Crowd was a bit quiet during most of the matches, accept for notable spots etc. But, hey, nobody's perfect.

Biggest Pops:
1 Eddie Guerrero
2 Ric Flair
3 John Cena
4 Chris Benoit
5 Rey Mysterio

Biggest Heat:
1 Paul Heyman
2 Big Show
3 A-Train
4 TSPWGTT
5 Bashams

Honestly don't remember the vast majority of the matches, I remember the Cena tag match (and him making jokes before the match), Eddies match and lesnar/benoit (although I got mixed up with Show).

Hehe just looking at my photobucket account and found 2 taker images I made years ago. And I mean years ago!

Probably my favourite wrestler of all time. I wasn't overly fond of his ABA days, it was a cool change but for me it was never quite as awesome as his purple/grey and ministry eras. His time as the Ministry leader produced some of the best storylines ever. And as a young kid, his purple/grey deadman era was just awesome. He'll definitely go down as one of the all time greats.

After WM28&29, i was thinking it should be close to the end for him as he was a lot below his best. Just seemed a lot slower. Probably a good thing if he bows out not turning into a Ric Flair.

I remember him debuting and knowing he was " Mean " mark Callous from NWA ( PWI told me so lol ) and being underwhelmed.
" Oh look , ANOTHER illegal choke......:rolleyes::rolleyes: "

Had my first Taker Mark out moment when he sat up from a Jake Roberts DDT ( when NOBODY sat up from a Jake the snake DDT )
But it wasn't until the Mankind feud that i started noticing him more.
The Stone Cold - Highway to Hell Summerslam feud was a cracker.
LOVED his American Badass gimmick ( no one else did lol )

The 2 HBK matches and the 1st HHH one will stay with me forever

I also loved his ABA gimmick. Had some awesome feuds in that, especially with angle.

Those situps in his early days were ****ing badass. When you think about the gimmick he was given, he could have easily turned into a Papa Shango, but somehow he just made it work and kept evolving.
