A little like Scharenberg.

How has Laverde looked when he has strung a few games together? Scharenberg showed enough last year that we could tell he's an elite footballing talent. Would be a star if his knees would let him.

Fingers crossed they both get a fair run at it at some stage. There are few more frustrating things in footy than players with talent who have careers cruelled by inuries.
Sharanberg has definitely achieved more than Laverde in AFL. Laverde has really only shown glimpses of talent at AFL level.

Built like Tarzan, plays like Jane and often goes missing in big games...

The comparative lack of heat that Josh Kennedy cops for his performance in that GF is puzzling, given that Kennedy was the Coleman Medallist in his absolute prime (28 years old) at the time.

Kennedy was double teamed. Was also excellent in the QF and PF. Anyway we had maybe 1 or 2 winners on the day, much better team structure last year.

Makes zero sense, he's very much undersized for a tall forward player. If he was Buddy's size he'd be in the conversation for best tall in the league.
He was last year for about 10 games. Against the much hyped Tigers he was on another level. 20 touches, 15 marks (6 contested), 6 goals 2... shame he got injured, could've put together 60-70 goal season which came out of nowhere.

Still don't think that afford Kennedy a complete pass, which he essentially has been given compared to the roasting Darling got and still sometimes gets.

It came out of being the primary target for once, with Kennedy missing for half the year.

Darling got roasted because of the dropped mark. Plus he had an ordinary finals series. Given Kennedy had two opponents that have Darling freedom he didn't capitalise on.

Kennedy played rounds 4-10 last year which was the peak of Darling's purple patch.
