Guerra does seem to be the 1st player dropped, so he may want to go elsewhere. However, he may prefer to go back to a Vic club. BTW, I wouldn't give up a 1st rounder for him, unless it was a very poor draft talent-wise.

Why not?
You did for Bode. Guerra now is far better than Bode was then, and is still only 20.
Unlike Bode, he is a required player though. A few retirements happening over the next couple of years.
His main problem is that he is a utility type player, and at the moment we have the best that there has ever been in Wanganeen.

Don't get me wrong I like Guerra as a player, but we have plenty of his type at the Crows. We should be using our high draft picks to fix areas of need - ie. another ruckman & a KP defender (preferably who can also play tall). It's all a question of priorities.

I agree with your priorities, but that is different from saying he is not worth a first round draft pick. Although now I am not sure that you meant it that way.

John**** would be the most like him on your list.

What we must make a priority is a young ruckman. We also need to draft a young KPP who can play either end but preferebly as a forward and another midfielder as you can never have too many of those. A small crumbing forward could also be handy

I said it all last year, we should have made a big play for Brogan before French started having itchy feet now that bird has well & truly flown,

They did make a play for Brogan last year but it was too late as French was already on the way to Carlton.

I wouldn't go for Lade. We need a YOUNG ruckman that will take over from Clarke once he retires but is also capable of playing fill in role if one of our current ruckman gets injured. Mark Jamar is the man.

Could draft another ruckman that will be LONG term project to eventually play back up to Biglands and Jamar.
