As have I. Having an exam during clive-gate = not best exam preparation. I think I spent a good 5 hours at Uni trying to track down clive when I should've been studying

yeah but i never see anyone on it is what i mean guise.
when gd was crazy last year it was just before exams, pretty safe bet that if i hadn't discovered bigfooty i wouldn't have been pwned as hard by the examos

Third year law at Murdoch. Probably my hardest semester yet, Corporations Law is hell , but I hear Civil Procedure is worse ... thankfully I don't have to worry about that until next year.

Before I started, at orientation, law students said that 'first year they scare you to death, second year they work you to death, and third year they bore you to death' ... switch second and third year around and it'd be about right. Admin Law, Constitutional Law and Property were about the most boring units I've done.

I'm thinking about enrolling and studying for a few years but I'm 25 do you think it's worth it?? Are there many older students just starting out there?

Depends on what your chosen career path is. If you want to do something that requires a uni degree, then go back to uni. I'm turning 30 this year, and I'm still at uni going for my second degree because being a lawyer is what I've always wanted to do. There are a significant number of mature age students in law, some are even in their 40s/50s.

I'm now an off campus student doing Arts. When I was a full time student at Monash the amount of douchebags was overwhelming. Half the campus must have been doing DOTS because there's no way any of them would be able to get in on merit.

I've just started uni straight out of school. Doing a Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedics) at VU.

Apparently there's about 900 students over the three years and it still won't cover the deficit for Ambulance Victoria. That's not even worrying about the 200 or so at ACU and the 500 (I think) at Monash.

yeah, will keep that in mind, thanks man

also a quick question, how many of my arts units will count to the arts component? (since they are all first year sequences)

They should all carry over, provided that you keep your major, minor and 3rd stream subjects the same.

A full Arts degree is around 24 units, the Arts component of an Arts/Law degree is only 16 units.

Pretty awesome: do half the work and get the same piece of paper. Downside is the law subjects make the Arts/Law mix much, much more work than straight Arts. But i find law much more interesting and topical. I'm a bit relieved my arts part of my degree is over...

Law school is very tight knit as well, so very easy to form great friendships.

ex-curtin brah checking in.

finished last year civil engineering, now working full time miss the uni life a bit but honestly once you start earning some good coin, uni doesnt really feel all that bad.

^^ Funny that, was sitting in the library thinking "Man, this has had to be the toughest 4 years of my life, but I'm going to miss it". But can't wait to earn some decent money :) oh and do something I enjoy!

i like in summer how the hot girls wear less clothes

i also hate how the non hot girls wear less clothes.

Same here brah. Am trying to think of ways to extend the uni life for as long as possible. Even considered doing a Diploma of Education for a while:eek:

saw one dude on bigfooty at curtin once. he was asian and a bit chubby

just keep studying man.

18 months in a full time job about 4-5 years ago was enough for me to have to think there must be a better way.... i packed it up and went travelling with the money saved.... best decision i ever made... i don't know how we work for 40+ years.

got back from o/s in 2008... returned to tafe start of 2010. another great decision....

although i'm slowly resigning myself to the fact that one day i'm going to "have to be responsible".... but i'm fighting it every step of the way and pushing that day of responsibility as far back as i can.

Me too. Probably will do a Master's at some point soon, maybe after a term off either working or overseas. Definitely don't wanna go straight into full time work though. Not yet. Happy with a couple of part time jobs atm.

3rd year Commerce at UNSW. Might have to go into first term next year to finish the course though.

Surprised you can see all of "us" from all the way up there on your high horse.

So you disagree with me?

I'm not on a high horse - I'm lazy as well but all of us have to enter the real world at some stage, and since I like money I want it to be sooner rather than later.
