First place versus a team that only slipped into the top 8 in round 22, a week after choking in a home Qualifying Final as minor premiers. Yes, let's remember the glory days that were 2005

The overall finals campaign was a disastor. This game was the one shining light.

I also feel it is more relevent in the Crows/Port bickering than 119. That is Geelong's glory not ours. It may amuse us (2007 GF), but umltimatley this Semi Final gives me more satisfaction.

I could keep repeating to Kangaroos fans how badly we have smashed them in finals, but it doesn't quite feel the same when those years turned out like they did.

You're not obsessed with Port Adelaide, apparently, so why do you get so much pleasure out of the finals series of 2005? As minor premier, the Crows had no reason to be playing against the team that finished eighth. Why did that end up happening again?

Tell that to some of the Crows fans posting photos in this thread. Oh well, something has to keep them interested in grand finals . . .

In a thread that's about teams making the finals 7 times in 8 years?

When exactly have the Port Power Football Club done that again?

So after 19 pages and 270 posts without seeing diddly squat of any meaningful rebuttal, you're calling two pages of posts that are the intellectual equivalent of 'yo mama' jokes as "heat" being applied? LOL

The stats were actually original. The pictures we've all seen before. Broken records and all that.

Like I said before, you could have substitued the Crows stats at the end of each post for Port's woeful record circa 97-03. How many posts was that repeated and you whinge about broken records ...well, with 119, your club broke that record! There was nothing original in repeating the same Crows stat over and over again. It was self indugent, egotistical bullshit that blew up in his face.

You're proud of that?

You could do that if Port Adelaide's 97-03 record was unique for some special reason. In any case, it was less a repeated stat, rather than just the one stat spread out over 18 or so pages. I'm amazed at how many segues he came up with . . .

You're proud of that?

How exactly is Adelaide's failure to play in a Grand Final in that time Port's glory. Read what you were responging to about the Crows enjoying 119.

Only difference is, nobody but Port fans give a shit about us not making a Grand Final, in fact they admire our ability to get ourselves into a competative position time after time, the whole league laughs at 119, my children and grand children will laugh at 119.

Proud...mate...you are not going to win finals from 12th are you.
"A repeated stat "????? What is your definition of repeating then ?

Funny how Power supporters have a wankfest over the same post copied and pasted hundreds of times over and then later have a cry about 'broken records' when pictures of their loser team are presented to them.

Seems like all the Power and their supporters ever do is whinge and cry like this loser here:

The best part about this thread is definitely the segues into each of the 115.

Hey ThunderPower. I thought you loved this thread so much but now you and your Power buddies are nowhere to be seen. Can you please come back to tell us how much you are enjoying this thread? Meanwhile, I will try to find more pictures of Power losers to show you. :thumbsu:

Yeah, okay, your grandchildren. As if anyone knew who held the previous record, and by how much. But you may want to get your head out of the sand there, mate. The 'SA chokers' thread out there isn't exactly "admiring" the on-field work of the Crows. If you haven't noticed already, they're laughing at you too. We got smashed in the most important game. You can't make that game. We can debate which is worse, but it's not as if we're ever going to agree. Just be uncomfortable in the fact that the Crows' record is not actually winning you the admirers you think.

I didn't say I took pleasure out of 2005/06/07/08 . . . I responded to someone who used the GF, and the 'dream final' as a source of enjoyment. The stats listed in this thread haven't been repeated for a year and a half like 119 has.

You clearly enjoyed our last Grand Final. Good for you. There's not exactly much else for you to enjoy in late September.

Proud...mate...you are not going to win finals from 12th are you.

Well, apparently for the Crows, you're not going to win them from the top four either.
As for this thread, there is a difference between comparing this Crows' stat to that of 114 other teams, each time one of those 114 teams is mentioned, than there is when someone puts '119' in their signature to be seen every time they post about anything.

2006 Grand Final - Sydney Swans (12.12.84) - Lost by 1 point

2007 Grand Final - Port Power (6.8.44) - Lost by 119 points

109 to go :p

Both clubs have made the GF twice.

It is true that we have failed from a position where we should of made it in the last four years. As have Port in 2002-03, when Rucci coined the Choke phrase.

Since our last flag and second GF appearance things have not been so good. All we have achieved is a Brownlow medallist, Preseason GFs and Premiership, numerous AAs (and two AA Captains), Two Prelims and one Minor Premiership. But yes I agree this decade has been a failure as I am one that believes Premierships are what you play for.

I wonder what lays ahead in the next 8 years for the Power? Will it be better?

Speaking of losers, this guy should have retired gracefully at the end of 2008, well as graceful as some one of his character can anyway:

Yeah sure mate, post away, i'll dig up the Crows prelim failure pictures if you want and we can totally duke it out.

In any case, this thread has progressed nicely. The Crows supporters whinged at first, then left the thread, hoping D_One would get over it once he ran out of numbers. The outrage when he started a second unique Crows record was quite satisfying, and this thread remains very satisfying.

:thumbsu: Well done D_One.

Speaking of being satisfied, Essendon certainly weren't when they lost the GF in 1947 but can take consolation that they atleast put up a great fight.

1947 GF - Essendon (11.19.85) - Lost by 1 point

2007 Grand Final - Port Power (6.8.44) - Lost by 119 points

107 to go :p

Sorry ...you lost me there.
114 different stats as opposed to one stat being repeated 114 times. Is that what you mean?

As fo 119, when someone starts a thread like this, why wouldn't 119 come up? Cracking on about the Crows over and over again and yet 119, and Ports choking dynasty of 97-03 are used quite rightly in rebuttal, and D_One leaves to start on his Mardi Gras outfit after calling premiership players losers.
(Not that there's anythng wrong with that)

Yeah, okay, your grandchildren. As if anyone knew who held the previous record, and by how much.

Melbourne, who got smashed by Hawthorn by 96 points as recently as 1988. Actually a fairly easy to remember stat.

Do you remember who held the previous record for largest margin in a Grand Final in the SANFL before Centrals r*ped WWT in 2004 by 125 points?

Of course you do, because it was North Adelaide in 1989 who famously kicked only one goal in the entire game and lost to Port by 94 points only the year after Hawthorn smashed Melbourne.

Well, apparently for the Crows, you're not going to win them from the top four either.

The difference between the Crows and the Power is the Crows also managed to win 2 flags from OUTSIDE the top four, whereas the Power would rather call an end to their season halfway through than try to finish 5-8 to give themselves even a remote chance.

Shutup now.:thumbsd:
