Finally, to everyone who call for Stanton to be dropped, I hope you're all hanging your heads in shame. 27 possessions, 3 goals, 6 inside 50s says it all. He was awesome tonight. When will people learn that a class player never loses his class

Stants had a good game but his kicking still lets him down. Too many times he could not hit the target thus resulting in a turnover and the team getting burned the other way.

Mind you,he is not alone in that regard. Poor disposal by hand and foot severely cost us in the first half. Our guys need to do a better job of pin pointing the target and hitting him on the chest. I think a bit of work on the tackle bags at training this week wouldn't hurt either. Too many missed tackles.

Having said all that I was impressed with how we went about it last night under some tough circumstances. Showed some great fight to hit the front in the third quarter and for a while we were threatening to run away with it.

As soon as Lonergan and McVeigh went down you just knew they were going to run over the top of us though. Lonners was one of our more important players in the stoppages when we were getting on top of them in the 3rd and what can I say about McVeigh?! He is fast becoming our most important player and the bloke just bleeds Red & Black. Those two were great and once we lost them it was a pretty grim picture.

Good effort from the boys. If there is such a thing as an "honourable" loss we had one last night.
