You are so wrong it hurts.Dire straits are s**t.
Admittedly i threw them in. I dont really know them. You are so wrong it hurts.
While I don't consider any of those acts s**t, I don't own a single album by any of them. So that probably says something.Cold Chisel are s**t.
Jimmy Barnes needs to stfu.
Midnight oil are s**t.
Dire straits are s**t.
They did some good stuff...and some not so good.Admittedly i threw them in. I dont really know them.
I retract dire straits.
The only song i remember of theirs is that mtv song (it isnt even about mtv though)They did some good stuff...and some not so good.
Dire Straight guitarist has a very unique sound and technique - at least have to respect them for that
Midnight oil are s**t.
Yeah my brother in law is a very good guitarist but finds Knoffler's style impossible.
That's "Money For Nothing". It used to annoy the s**t out of me when it first came out. Never liked it. I also thought the guitar riff was a bit close to the Stones' "Jumpin' Jack Flash".The only song i remember of theirs is that mtv song (it isnt even about mtv though)
Can we all admit that jommy barnes is s**t s**t s**t?
He does. I just never got into them.Dire Straight guitarist has a very unique sound and technique - at least have to respect them for that
Loved Cold Chisel but when Jimmy went solo it was like a screamfest which I didn't enjoy, apart from one song which I love . Dire Straits not big on apart from Telegraph Road and Brothers In ArmsCold Chisel are s**t.

My favourite Midnight Oil song is not one of their more popular efforts:

Loved the first few Oils albums
Isn’t that about their most successful songs?
There's plenty ahead of them in the cue, IMHO.I will get around to listening to Dire Straits one of these days.
I can rattle off several more popular tunes they had.
I read several years ago how TDH was more underrated than truly appreciated.
I think they made some pretty good music, but Barnes' solo stuff is complete shyte.Flame trees may be one of the best Aussie songs ever made. other than that I agree that cold chisel suck

I don't like to bag them as I love a lot of their stuff, but from around that time I thought their stuff [including The Dead Heart] became more bland rather than commercial. Maybe both - but I'm with ya re 'the end of rockandroll'I hated it because of its commercial sound and that it meant the end of rockandroll midnight oil.

Well...I like older stuff. Just off the top of my head:Tell me?
