A statue outside the MCG should be based purely on sporting achievements, now I'm not saying this person didn't achieve much, they achieved a hell of a lot. But put them up against the other names there; Matthews, Warne, Bradman, barassi, lillee etc. and Stynes just doesn't fit the bill.

I've mentioned it before and was treated as though I just shot Bambi.

Before this post I looked up the list of statues and figured you would say this.

To me he sticks out as well.

Why even mention it in the first place if you're not going to mention the name?

Good work at contributing nothing to the discussion.

Much appreciated. :$:$:$

Above is the post you quoted. I have bolded where he said who it is. Contributed enough for you?

$25 an hour is probably enough to get by as a young single with no commitments. Not enough to get ahead of the game, though.

Life isn't as expensive as people make it out to be. Your number one expensive is shelter, so once you have that sorted for your income level the rest isn't such a worry. Many pensioners and retirees live off $20-30k a year without having to eat cat food simply because their expenses aren't that high.

The problem is that people become accustomed to a higher standard of living the more they earn. It's a lot easier to live on $25 an hour when you're used to earning $15 an hour working part time than it is you have been earning $50 an hour.

Nah disagree. As long as you manage it okay and don't be a moron over spending on it, credit cards are pretty good. I've never paid interest on my credit card, not once.

As for saving, I am so thankful for my situation. $300 a month on rent is a pretty sweet deal- I don't earn a lot of money, but due to the fact my expenses per month are pretty low, I can actually save some decent money.
The only debt/repayment scheme I ever want to have is a home loan.

Buying a car new is a luxury. There's no other way to describe it. With the depreciation of an automobile well known, there's no reason why buying a car brand new is ever a necessity and anyone who does so can not complain about their financial situation. There's nothing wrong with a second hand vehicle.

Nothing makes me smile like an 18 year old bogan getting a 50k personal loan at 30% paying off a new HSV. A thing of beauty

Then nothing causes me more despair than knowing it will probably be paid off no worries from either their overpaid job or with mum and dads assistance.
