Yallop was another with tremendous talent but his head wasn't screwed on correctly.

30 year later the ACB now the CA are just as moronic as then.

when i think of sucky england teams, i also think of the classic 'county all-rounder' (which could be described as having their own unsatisfactory international careers). they had a procession of the ealham, irani, craig 'cameron' white types, before flintoff and now broad/bresnan/swann who are going to play a lot longer and perform better than all those.
Chris Lewis another, not to mention the hollioake boys

Such a good spirited bloke though, probably satisfied in his own career.

QLD legend tho!
Steve Waugh commented that this probably counted against him. The way Waugh tells it, Bichel's easy-going nature may have led to a feeling that he'd take being dropped in good spirits, as opposed to others who might drop their bundle.
