Worth the 70 bucks honestly.

Looked into the number of endings thing last night and apparently theres something like 264 different endings, which is huge replayability.

Yes the game is only about 10 hrs long (average game is 30-40) but the replayability puts it up to the 100hr mark.

It's neat but the fact that it basically lacks gameplay just doesn't justify it for me personally. Also considering I preordered Mad Max and MGSV for just over 70... Kind of set until Battlefront and Fallout drop!

From what I've seen it appeals to me more than Mad Max does, but Metal Gear is dropping in days so I don't have time for it given I'm only half way through Peace Walker and need to replay Ground Zeroes (only takes 20 minutes) before Tuesday.

Yep, Theres 10 chapters I think, takes about 5 to ramp up.
 
Looks like they patched some story inconsistencies. One of the things I complained of earlier in the game has been changed to be more realistic

Loving this game, it's excellent.

i knew it was ****ing josh he was such a creepy campaigner! i until he died and then the reveal and i was basically like **** you! i knew it was you you campaigner! i ****ing knew it was you! gotta love an effective double fake out.............. (i also picked the creature was a windigo and flamer thrower dude was trying to help before it happened due to watching ravenous far too many times) and so far only the twins and slutty blonde are dead.
But now that both josh and emily surviving (i had her boyfriend nope the **** out on her for being a bitch then played as her and felt like a complete dick for for leaving her) maybe it's only Beth who's dead, found her decayed head after all. I mean I didn't see slutty blonde actually die just drop in an elevator and somebody had to make the cross with beths DoD on it. Maybe hannahs alive? but then where the **** is she? did she get rescued? maybe she ate her sister and turned? .......... oh i forgot a failed "the stay still" event and flame thrower dude died i don't think he's coming back given the way he died. now i'm wondering around with mike being a douche version of a bad arse in asylum. overall loving the cast except for mike he's pretty much a w***er.

they should have just called mathews character token, i mean **** the dude just needs to have one attempted bad arse scene where he references a ghetto and the cliche is complete

I picked it being Josh at the start and then the game managed to fool me with the fake saw death.

Yeah the saw death made me second guess, but then realised you're supposed to be able to save everyone and I didn't feel I'd screwed up in anyway that would cause me to force someone to die.
Just found out that I can't stop one of the characters dieing in my playthrough because I missed one ****ing collectible back in chapter 6
 
Turns out the date in the game is my birthday (disappearance of the twins, return of the 8 friends on the anniversary).

Not creepy to me at all.. Nope. Not at all..

Just started playing this game, first impressions are good.

Does anyone know what bearing your response to the analysts at the beginning of the game has?

Say youre scared of needles. You come across a needle etc.

It's pretty minor stuff as far as I'm aware the psychologist guy is more of a plot device, gets more interesting each session.

pretty exactly what happened with me
but i was constantly thinking something was "off" so i refused to play his second game, then as the blades got lower and lower i started second guessing myself i put the gun to "glasses" throat and something clicked, the fake newspapers i'd found, the wanted poster was dated a year after the killer was apparently caught. it...it was fake it had to be, this was some sort of set up... the only one with motive is josh... we've never played as josh......then the fade to black and screams happened and i thought i ****ed everything up, i'd killed them both for trying to be sherlock ****ing holmes. Hence when the revel came i was so excited. for the game to get me not once but twice i feel it's really well done

as soon as the footys over i'm jumping on an finishing this bitch.
 
Just finished, very enjoyable game, 9/10

Final survivors were Chris, Sam, Emily, Jess
Probably played most with Mike and liked his character, liked Sam a lot but in the end the choice I made with her killed Mike, smh :(
 
Loving it so far, the overall feel and style of the game is exactly what a horror fan could ask for.

Some minor weirdnesses with the story isn't enough to downgrade the experience (
infinite bullets in the sanitorium and suddenly warping dog
the main offenders).

Almost done, can't wait to finish...then start again doing basically the exact opposite of what I did in this run!
