Gibbs has bruising, no broken bones.

also Vela has been banned by Mexico for six months for partying too much. so that's a win.

And this from a country that offers sexual acts with livestock as a major tourist attraction and whose favorite national pastime is dog-fighting?!

What exactly was Carlos up to?

Watching highlights. Was Keane's offside? First time I thought for sure, then the second one seemed to be equal but the commentator said it was inches off.

Btw...GTFO Fabianski. Gibbs is a gun.

Early injury news:

Diaby, Squillaci and Song return to the squad.

Rosicky (ankle) and Eboue (knee) in doubt and face late fitness tests.

Gibbs out for West Brom - should be back for Partizan in mid-week.

Vermaelen and Fabregas out for both West Brom and CL game. May be back for Chelsea game.

Ah so song isn't injured :thumbsu:

The good thing is after chelsea we have a 2 week break I believe, although internationals is where a lot of our injuries come from

Also we are expected to announce a blockbuster profit.

Do any of my fellow Gooners rate Denilson? We've got so many players of his frame and build but with a lot more talent on the ball. Personally think he is a waste of space - rather a tough, uncompromising DMC to offer support to Song.

He did have a tough childhood but growing up in the favelas

I'd have issues with him starting ahead of the likes of Wilshere and Ramsey in the coming seasons because he is not destined for stardom like they are.

He is a solid squad player though and adds calm and balance to the midfield. We seem to dominate possession (more than usual) when he plays and over the last 18 months, he's been a good passer. There was a time though when he used to infuriate turning over every pass.

I used to be a massive hater of denilson. He is an important player though. He is very good at keeping possession and getting our passing game going. His positional sense and tackling technique are actually better than song's but he doesn't have the physical attributes to be a great midfielder. I think he should start for our tough away games where we tend to get bullied i.e Sunderland.

Agree with rdub's comments above. I like Denilson as a squad player. He has the right attitude for a squad player, works hard and you know what you are going to get from him. His ability to snatch a goal from long range is good too.

My stab at tomorrow's team
----------Alumnia-------------
Sagna - Kosy - Squillaci - Clichy
--------Song - Denilson-------
----------Wilshere-------------
Arshavin---Chamakh-----Vela

Have Vela in to give Nasri a break. I would also like to give Wilshere a break, perhaps Diaby could come on a bit earlier.

Should be a good game tomorrow. I think it could be tough, but we should have the quality to break down West Brom a few times at home.
Predicted team:
----------------Almunia---------------
--Sagna--Koscielny--Squillaci--Clichy--
-----------------Song----------------
----------Wilshere---Nasri-------------
--Vela----------------------Arshavin--
---------------Chamakh---------------

Really hoping that Carlos plays, he and Chamakh would play really well together. Vela would drift in the centre and Nasri would drift wide. Would rather Nasri then Denilson, especially for a home day against a team that shouldn't pose too much of a threat.

I would much rather Nasri over Denilson too, just worried about overplaying him after playing extra time mid week.
