That'll turn into a 4-3-3/4-5-1/4-2-3-1 when they're actually playing. Arsenal rarely stick to a rigid formation anyway.

--------Song---Denilson------
Walcott---Fabregas---Arshavin
----------Adebayor-----------

That is my guess. Why we need Denilson in the line-up is still beyond me. He is just a squad player and Wenger views him as the Messiah.

Fabregas I thought looked pretty good the 75 mins or so he was on, Adebayor was pretty decent. Walcott destroyed that right hand side, but got a few knocks (about 4) so interesting to see how he feels the next day. Song solid as ever, Arshavin did a few good things but not as strong as he usually is, Denilson pretty average.....be good to see Nasri come in. Clichy has been great defensively, Sagna quite good with some nice crosses. Missing RvP sometimes but its good to have Adebayor who can header the ball.

Agree with all. Denilson was better than average I thought. Works hard and when Fabregas is playing he doesn't have to create as much. Walcott might struggle for Villarreal. Good win though, because I was worried the international break might stop our momentum.

That was brutal.

I hope those questioning Adebayor's place in our best XI saw that - superb. Apart from the goals he's so good for allowing us to keep possession in the final third.

Surprised Fabregas played so well first game back - he continues to amaze.

Song was fantastic. Playing with a lot of confidence.

Loved the Eboue cameo at the end.

Yeah probably harsh in comparison to the other midfielders who played so well, just gonna find it hard for him to get a spot in the team when everyone is fully fit but good to have on the bench, got one of the best passing percentages in the EPL im quite sure but yeah.

Eboue does some great things, his final move lets him down though but oh well he will improve, i actually like it when he has the ball (big call) on the attack looks pretty good.

lol! How good is Song going? So solid in defensive mid. Never thought he'd be an Arsenal stayer but he is proving me wrong.

Eboue showed some good spark when he came on. Seems to have alot of confidence back as well.

Cesc...running the show as always. Very very good return.

Toure deserved a goal on that run into the box. Given had a pretty busy day.

Good night of results from me.

was a really good game last night really impressed, we were really dominant from start to finish and did not looking like giving man city a sniff at all during the game. Fabregas was excellent last night, his passing was so good and you can see how important he is to the team because he sets up so many chances. All in all i can say im really happy to be a fan right now because we are in sensational form and probably at the right time of the season, keep it up fellas!!:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Eboue was the best player on the park after he was subbed on.
Cesc was great and walcott was just devastating on the right.
Ade proved me wrong somewhat, but he needs to impose himself far more consistently.

Agree with the stuff about Adebayor, sometimes he just has games like that then he just goes off the radar. I just like what Van Persie does when he is on, much more skillful can provide assists, great free kick taker, etc. Be good if we could fit all Arshavin, RvP, Ade, Walcott, Nasri but yeah with our fully fit team it seems like someone may have to miss out.

Who we got next weekend?

makes no difference really. a point would be nice for villa but you have us on goal differene one way or the other so the margin of the loss is irrelevant.

not safe in fourth yet though - villa don't have too many hard games remaining after Manchester United while you have to play the top three.

you are the better team, by far and should finish fourth but it isn't certain yet.

I forget which piece of play exactly, but Ade lost the ball slightly forward of centre. As soon as he did though he sprinted to the City player who took it off him, probably ran a good 100m and found himself just on the edge of our defensive box covering for a defender. If he does this more often he will become a world class striker.

He was just desperate for a hattrick. :p

But when he first joined Arsenal, he used to chase lost causes and continuously apply pressure on the defenders. Doesn't do that often anymore.

He's turned into a new player in the last month. So often he'd be a passenger being overwhelmed and have no impact, but now he has turned into this combative get-in-there type all of a sudden. I like it.
