He was in my DT but got him out for Beams :/ He destroyed freo in that first quarter.

Anyway who remembers that game at the JJB when the pitch was absolutely pathetic and pretty much was the cause for the draw (Kirkland was great but still).

He just looks like he belongs. Dominated against the Pies and was OK against the Saints.

By the way last night I had no idea who to go for. My heart said Villa but my head said Man U but I couldn't go for Man U because that is just wrong....so confused!!!

It was hard to decide, i was like ha ha man utd you suck but then I was like we probably can't win title lets focus on a Champs league spot.

By the way, with Petrenko will he be playing most games because I think a few people e.g Symes have to come back in might take his spot?

Your asking the wrong person. I would hope he keeps his place because he is adding some real spark and defensive pressure. But I am out of the loop living in Perth.

I have to admit that I have been very critical of Song. Lethargic is the word I used to describe him. I am glad to be proven wrong.

As for Cesc how much beeter can he get? 12 weeks off and some of the delivery/through balls had to be seen to be believed.

Good result, based on how we were playing in the 1st half. Toure was brilliant this morning and clearly our best player. Walcott was dangerous but he went back into his predictable sprint and cross method. Needs to mix it up more, thats where Eboue adds more than Walcott. Eboue likes to cut inside and run at the CB's, which creates space for the other players.
Almunia looks to be out for a couple of weeks and Gallas could be a serious ligament injury. I have confidence in Fabianksi, while Djourou and Silvestre should provide good enough cover for Gallas.
Tie is still in the balance because Villareal are a good team, but we should be able to get through at the Emirates.

very good result the 2nd half will give us a lot of confidence in the 2nd leg, as we outplayed them on their own turf, was impressed by sagna today and toure were real rocks in our defence when we were bombarded in the first half and it was good to see the old adebayor hassling defenders and putting pressure on, when he does this he makes the team so much better.
as it was said before i thought walcott was a little bit too predictable and the villareal defence knew what he was gonna do most times, so i think next time hell mix it up and cause them real havoc at home.
Im confident that we will go through as i do beleive we can keep a clean sheet at home and that alone would be enough to put us through to the next round, but i dont expect us to sit back.
also looking forward to the pires return to the emirates, great servant for the club and will get the applause from the fans he deserves:thumbsu:

I always enjoy watching him shuffle around but it would be cool if he comes on as a sub and get's his own standing ovation.

Villareal looked so sharp in the first half. We were fortunate not to concede a second the way they were passing the ball in the final third.

Great effort to hang in there and then equalise after the 2 injuries. Incredible goal...

Second leg will be very tough - should be entertaining though with Villareal needing to score.

Be interesting to see who Wenger rests vs Wigan, because we really need 3 points.
