I don't know what to make of that performance. The scoreline definately flattered us. Sort of similar to our game last week against Villarreal, game of 2 halves. Walcott scored a great goal but it was Ade who changed the game when he came on. Fab, Arshavin and Song all stepped up a gear and finished off the game well. Shows the difference between Bendtner and Adebayor playing as the front man. Surprised Wenger took Walcott off instead of Bendtner, but maybe he had an eye on Villarreal.
Defensively, shocking. Gibbs and Fabianksi had too many nervous moments. Djourou's injury could be serious because his knee looked like it collapsed underneath him and Silvestre wasn't that impressive when he was on. I think you're right about him Benno, doesn't exactly instill confidence.

Gibbs was beaten too easily. Then again, Valencia has owned Clichy in recent times as well. Not confident with him in the CL or FA Cup though.

Silvestre kept letting the ball bounce and causing problems, just clear the ball.

With Djourou out injured now, Wenger has no choice but to play that same defence against Villareal. If Diaby is fit, maybe Song to CB and Silvestre to LB but that will probably turn out even worse. Another option is Eboue at RB and Sagna to LB?

Awful first half. You could tell the boys wanted to win with minimal effort possible (which is a bit risky seeing we don't have 4th sewn up yet). Good thing it worked out OK.

We're really going to miss Almunia, Gallas and Clichy is the main thing I took from the match.

Nice to see Song get on the scoresheet though. Silvestre has a funny knack of scoring too which could prove handy.

There is some good news and bad news today.

The bad is that Djourou will be out for the Villareal game, meaning that we will only have two central defenders for at least one game. If he is out for more than 4-5, we may have to call Senderos back from Milan.

The good news is that Villareal lost their match (0 - 2) and Senna went off injured. A bit mean, but it is good that he has very little chance of making it to the midweek match.

I'll take that win, even if it was un-deserved. Feels good to actually win a game we don't deserve to 4-1nce ;)

Massive two weeks coming up. Villareal at home mid-week. Chelsea in the FA Cup, then Liverpool away in the EPL. Let's go Gunners.

Great result for us there at Villa Park. A 3-3 thriller.

What a great 24 hours I've had - after watching our lads tear Wigan a new one after the hour at JJB, Munster smash Ospreys in the quarter final tonight, and Villa and Everton now make it extra tough for on each other by taking just a point each.

Surely the Tiges knocking off the Dogs is asking just a little too much?

Djourou has been ruled out for tomorrow morning's match. Diaby is back. Expected team ...

Fabianski
Sagna - Toure - Silvestre - Gibbs
Walcott - Song - Fabregas - Nasri
Adebayor - RVP

Subs: Szczesny, Eboue, Diaby, Denilson, Ramsey, Bendtner, Vela

Sidelined: Almunia, Gallas, Djourou, Clichy, Rosicky, Eduardo

But somehow Wenger will find a spot for Denilson who has played every minute in the CL this season. So I wouldn't be surprised if Song played at CB and Silvestre played at LB.

Well ESPN have decided to be f**** and show the Porto-United game AGAIN! live and not our game which will be replayed at 6:30.

Anyone know whether SBS will be doing the same or will they show our game instead this time?

What the **** is the point of showing the same game on both, Man Utd had there go last week at home, this time it's Arsenal. I don't see how its much of a bigger game anyway, Arsenal and Villa are more similar matched. ****ing pathetic.

Pretty poor by SBS. Although it doesn't really bother me getting up at 5:00 compared to 2:30.

At least the next round we will be the only match of the night!!!:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

I think Denilson will play. Song to CB and Silvestre to LB is not bad actually.
I don't know. Song has been a box to box midfielder all season except for the second half against West Brom. While Silvestre might create a few nervy moments, we should still have enough quality up the field to sink the submarines. With RVP fit I'd pick the 4-4-2. Diaby and Eduardo on as subs to get some match fitness before the FA cup semi.
