Agree. That line-up is too defensive for my liking.

Better off sticking with 442.

Fabianski
Eboue - Toure - Silvestre - Gibbs
Walcott - Fabregas - Song - Arshavin
Adebayor - van Persie

Which would quite often turn into a 433 with Arshavin dropping in behind the strikers. The only problem then would be a lack of cover for Gibbs.

Gibbs has to pass a fitness test. Eduardo will be on the bench too which is nice.

Eboue - Toure - Song - Silvestre
Walcott - Fabregas - Diaby - Arshavin
Adebayor - van Persie

Gibbs has been passed fit.

Breaking FA Cup semi-final team news: Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs has come through a late fitness test despite suffering from a groin problem. The Gunners back-line (right to left) is Emmanuel Eboue, Mikael Silvestre, Kolo Toure and Gibbs. More to follow.

Song on the bench as well. Interesting to put it lightly, not too pleased with the team selection ...

Arsenal: Fabianski, Eboue, Toure, Silvestre, Gibbs, Walcott, Fabregas, Diaby, Denilson, Van Persie, Adebayor.
Subs: Mannone, Nasri, Vela, Ramsey, Song Billong, Arshavin, Bendtner.

So it's a 4-2-3-1 with RVP on the left?

Probably wants to protect the fullbacks. Arshavin and Nasri may not track back as much as he'd like.

What's the bet Bendtner comes on before them?

Not sure that Diaby's laconic style is suited to a Cup semi at Wembley.

Flappy has been very poor
Gibbs great
Silvestre either outstandingly calm or outstandingly lucky
Toure decent
Eboue good bar the goal
RvP quiet and hacked to pieces
Denilson decent
Diaby poor
Cesc good
Walcott very good
Adebayor OK

Wenger completely ****ed up this one up for us with his stupid team selection.

Oh well. At least we'll finish 4th and get Champions League money.

Spot on DB. Worst formation ever.

At least we'll get Almunia, Sagna and Clichy back. Some relief finally.
