I saw Johan Cruyff play for the Washington Diplomats against the Los Angeles Aztecs at the Rose Bowl on the 4th of July, 1980.

He came on half way through the second half with his thigh heavily bandaged from hip to knee and still scored and ran rings around every player on the pitch.

He'd be about 63 now and I'd still pay to see him play!
He's probably the smartest footballer ever.

And then ironically almunia put on one of the greatest displays of keeping that we've had at arsenal in recent years - that first half against barca at the emirates couple of seasons ago. Still can't beleive we haven't sold him (who would buy him I guess)

If park and chamakh both start then looks like we're reverting back to a 4-4-2

thank god those days are gone when almunia was our no. 1 goalkeeper
agreed. long live the schezz!

wenger also says what we had long thought anyway - qualifying for the champions league is the priority. so our number 1 objective is 4th place this season

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/s...ger:-champions-league-is-'compulsory'?cc=3436

winning the FA Cup would be a 'bonus'. realistically, its our only genuine shot at silverware this season. cant we do both though?

We can't rush him. He should be eased into the team. We rush him and he'll end up injured again. We saw what happened with Benitez and Torres, it just got progressively worse.

Be patient, he'll come back.

hasn't been updated for a couple of weeks, but wenger is sayin about mid february.

Jack Wilshere (Ankle)
Last Updated: 16 December
Jack will be expected back in action around the middle of February Speaking on December 16, Arsene Wenger said: "He had a very important scan on Thursday and that was very, very good, exceptionally good. The news we have for Jack is very positive. No [he will not be back sooner], we will respect the delays. I count maybe mid-February for Jack."
