Rambo was amazing. MOTM for me, starting to get back to his best.

Gibbs at LB, should be back next week. He's been good this season. Santos is a left-sided Eboue ... but much slower.

Koscielny is miles ahead of Mertesacker. Per is okay but not great.

BTW, we've drawn Man City in the Carling Cup.

Worst possible draw. Their second XI would probably beat our best team. At least it's at the Emirates.

Dont rate per much either but would prefer him to djourou and i would prefer jenkinson not playing .

I prefer santos link up play to gibbs though gibbs is better a defender and more use to our system.

Recent form is the best we have seen from him in an Arsenal shirt imo. He has had to deal with the pressure of not having guys like Fabregas and Nasri around and is bettering any of his previous Arsenal form.

Agree. Kos is underrated a bit on here imo.

Sagna - Kos - TV - Gibbs

That's a decent defence when fully fit (odds are it will never be fully fit).

Santos is good at attacking, horrible defending. Dare I say, I wouldn't mind him playing LW more often than LB. Gibbs is better but not amazingly much more so. Rather we get a proper, established LB but that won't happen. Kos was good, to be honest i've been a critic, but he always throws himself at the contest. I think I'd prefer him to Per, he's just too slow. We really miss Sagna though, one of my favourite players.

I know its a fair while away, but who would you guys sign in January?

I still think we need a top class LB, creative mid and maybe a CB if we were to compete for trophies. We had these problems in the summer and I don't think they've been resolved yet. The new signings are decent (Arteta, Per, Santos) but not the quality of a champion team.

But let's not kid ourselves, we won't sign anybody.

Benno, Santos decent? What? The guy is terrible. He would look more at home on the wing than LB, but even then I don't think he'd do too well.

Re: Koscielny. The guy has settled, while he provides the occasional scare, overall he's good. Brave, athletic and seems to read the play well. I like him.

Nobody will be signed in January. Prices are even more inflated.

koscileny was excellent last night, but his last 10 minutes were awesome. critical to the result. that block on mata at 3-3 was always game turning, RvP scored our 4th shortly thereafter

and yes its best not to get our hopes up in january. we wont buy anyone. if by some chance we do, we really do need another established striker to provide back up to RvP. chamakh looks average and chu young is unknown as yet as he's still to make his league debut s

Marko marin would be good.

And need a back up defender for kos and verm.

Wilshere will help heaps when he returns but maybe need another player is that role as knowing our luck he will play one game and be out for the whole season.

Also would look at hoilett and sinclair.

there's lots of players who we 'should' look at however that would be pointless, we're unlikely to have any major acquisitions in january. this is wenger remember.

by january, we should (hopefully) have wilshere and sagna back or at least back in full training with the squad. wenger will hail their return as the equivalent of new signings to our squad.

What a game.
Rambo was immense, his passing ability is Cesc-level.
Walcott was great. Brilliant goal and would have had a few assists if Gervinho and RVP had hit the target.
Oh and RVP

Arsenal have been linked with Gramero and Jovetic in the last couple of days. Also Marsielle are in big financial trouble and Arsenal are continously linked with Ayew and Gourcuff.

im a fan of marin and gourcuff. but like always, it will have to be for the right price, at the right time, and for the right wages etc. a lot of things have to go right for wenger to buy, and considering we bought 5 players (which is very un-arsenal like) on deadline day, i doubt we'll see much more activity in january.

of all our signings, im most impressed with gervinho. has really slotted well into the side, very polished going forward and has already delivered a number of quality assists. he should've been on the scoresheet last night too, but was one of many players who missed chances from both teams. a quality signing though and definitely established himself in our starting XI

Best win for a very long time, first away win for a very long time, ****ing rapt.
Bought the young bloke his first Arse top today !
first away win since april i believe? incredible stat that sums up our demise at the end of last season / start of this season. however what a place to break the drought - 5 goals at the bridge and 3 points. now back within touching distance of the top 4 :thumbsu:

He's not going to play Chelsea every week. Relax.
Yeah his defending is exaggerated.

I personally believe his defending isnt that bad its just he needs time to get fit so his not playing people onside and get use to our system aswell and use to the epl in general.

Its not like attackers go around him all the time in fact he actually picks pocket people very well.

Just wanted to say thank you to you guys for displaying some great Football last night compared to us with our brilliant gameplan with Leon Osman playing as a Second Striker. Really hope you keep out Liverpool from the top 4. Brilliant Football to watch least Obnoxious fans.

Thank you Kurtley

Surprised we didn't score this morning. A number of chances but again finishing was poor. Park started and looked ok in patches, I reckon wenger would've preferred to rest RvP for the whe game but had to bring him on for half an hour as we couldn't score.
