Good to see Per was dropped and Kos retained his place.

Caught the replay this morning, fairly convincing win. Agree with Windy that we did cruise, but West Brom were pretty poor IMO.

Great to see Vermaelen settling right back in and even better he scored, good finish too.

Wasn't Arteta's goal great? Superb build up play.

We're cruising under the radar, need to keep it up, that's 9 wins from 11.

I thought Jenkinson was very good. Destroyed Jerome Thomas who has worried Sagna in the past so fair effort from the kid.

And he can cross as well. :thumbsu:

Quality comments from van basten

Impressed with jenkinson too last night, and arteta was the standout. Yes the baggies were very flat but we kept a clean sheet fairly comfortably. Vermaelen fit and back on the scoresheet was the icing on the cake

It is remarkable just how much progress young Jenkinson has made. Hope the boss sticks with him at right back in preference to Djourou who is not a full back.
I feel really sorry for Mertsacker. He has come from a country/club that puts a lot of emphasis on physical fitness to Arsenal who prefer to have 3-a-side, 4-a-side, 5-a-side etc games at training with hardly any tackling, if any tackling at all as part of their regime let alone any defensive drills.
The centre back pairing yesterday was excellent and now, all we've got to hope for is that Kieran Gibbs gets fit really, really soon and never has an injury again because the fat blob, Santos, has no idea about being a full back.
It would also be good if young Mannone steps up so we could sell Szczesny to anyone who wants him for a pretty penny and get him out of our club.

You are the only person that can't see ANY potentinal in Szcesny. I think you need to reassess your opinion of him. Szczesny will be at the club for many years to come, he has all the tools in his cupboard to become a world glass goalkeeper. Just needs more experience and he'll be set.

And you are aware most keepers don't peak until their mid 30's? Szczesny is 21. He has a brilliant carrer ahead of him.

agree with most of your comments regarding our defense, however you're a little harsh on santos. is vulnerable yes however is still adapting to england and needs match fitness. although at this stage i would still prefer gibbs (when fit) as first choice LB

however, your comments again about szczesny are frankly laughable. doesnt really deserve too much more of a response.

nail on head

the bloke is 21 ffs. and one of the best young goalkeepers going around at the moment.

if you want him out of arsenal, well you're going to be a very disappointed individual. he has already stamped himself as our number 1 and szczesny will be at our club for a long, long time to come.

good win, solid performance and a 3-0 scoreline is great considering how the other tops sides crawled over the line in their respective games

Jenkinson looked good again, still worried about his defending but it's a learning curve

I am praying now that we don't suffer injuries over the international break....there always seems to be one...

Yeah, shame RVP couldn't have "limped" off for Arshavin at 75 minutes.

Thought Kos, TV and the Jenk were all very good down back. Great to see TV back and at his best.
Some very fluid passing in patches, especially towards the end of the first half, but other than that I thought we lacked potency in the final third. First two goals were quite fortunate.

What's he gonna say if asked such a question at this stage of his career?

Any other answer and the media would do their best to get him to Man City just as they did with Fabregas and Barca.
