I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time Thierry has trained with the club during the MLS off season. Not the first player to do it either, remember Beckham?

Line up for tonight is

Szczesny
Vermaelen - Koscielny - Mertesacker - Santos
Song
Walcott - Ramsey - Arteta - Gervinho
van Persie

we're far from safe here. very open game, we need a 3rd goal to finish them off hopefully.

walcott and gervinho playing very well although gervinho has had a couple of chances he should have buried

lol at Grand Blue calling RvP overrated in the EPL thread.

Mertesacker has been a shit signing. Kos and Verm should be our starting CBs.

If we score a third it's over.

some nervous moments towards the end but overall a very good victory. how we didnt score more is beyond me, had countless chances and really should have finished off the game earlier. but very happy with the three points and keeps us breathing down the neck of 3rd and 4th place

Santos is very frustrating. Dives in early with his tackles, which comes off sometimes but often leaves us terribly exposed. Needs to jockey and make standing tackles.
Arteta was horribly sloppy. Really want to see Wilshere and Ramsey together.
Not sure where the composure and decision making Per is famous for is hiding?

TV was quality and RVP doesn't even require introduction. How he missed Ballon d'Or nomination escapes me.

Yes harsh on gervinho. Certainly wasn't rubbish, he was far from it. Really should have scored 2 goals, and his first half in particular he and Walcott were running riot down the flanks

Gervinho played well I thought had a couple of off passes and should have scored probably 2 goals but other than that I thought he was very good along with Walcott

Typical Gunners game have a bazillion shots on goal not putting many away and a shaky defence and blunder.

Santos is too slow and gets caught out too much and gives his players way too much space I'm not sure that he is actually a defender

Arteta passing was awful. He gave the ball away all the time.

Did anyone think that Per would of dealt with the ball easier if he was shorter.
