Yes, real quality that.

Squad depth is somewhere between Liverpool and Newcastle. Not good enough to take a top 4 spot by the end of the season. Aside from fit full backs and Wilshere back, we need a second actual striker who can score goals, and a defensive midfielder in January, and that's just the bare basics.

There's a lot of deadwood in this squad that needs to be shipped out and then replenished with quality. Doesn't really happen in the one season under Wenger though.

Don't know why Benayoun was subbed off, he at least was always looking to create. Arshavin's so low on confidence, he was just playing it safe and passing it sideways.

Wolves players clearly got under our skins.

Really need sagna and santos back to give us some width.

It was a weak challenge by rosicky for the goal, which had a lot of luck about.

Not that it matters but MOTM would be KOS.

Van persie wasted a few golden chances by letting the ball bounce to much, should have hit it after his first touch and not wait for the ball to bounce twice.

Also to benno i have to disagree about arshavin though he showed intent for a change and looked like he wanted to play. And he couldn't really do a lot as wolves just sat back with 8 men in their box, not even cesc would have been able to penetrate that.

73% possession and 27 shots. Very frustrating. It's the kind of game that (mentally) we've failed to recover from in past seasons.

But with 2 more games within the next 5-6 days, we cannot afford to lose our sh*t again

Can't win them all. Although we should have been winning this, on another forum I read Hennesey had 16 saves, seems we got a case of Liverpool's luck when keepers turn into Superman.

This is why the lack of depth hurts us. Definitely need a forward.

haha frustrating as hell not to win that one we would be in the 4 right now had we won it

Arshavin actually played well when he came on
Gervinho played great except when it came time to put in a good cross or a pass he fluffed it 75% of the time
Header from Mertesacker, Vermaelen's blast 5M out etc etc. all would have gone in on another day their keeper just played a blinder
We should really have capitalised in that 1st half and gone into the break 2 or 3 - 0 instead of 1 - 1

Paid for that complacency in the first half.

Thought we were past that tippy-tappy rubbish.
Dead right!!
Our movement in the back and middle thirds was breathtaking but the whole idea is to get into a position to have a shot at goal. We just tried to pass the ball into the net.
Of all the EPL teams, we are the most amateurish when it comes to set pieces. For a team that gets so many corners and free kicks, you'd think that for all the time they spend on the training track that they would at least have come up with one or two set plays.
Song was terrible. He was lazy and undisciplined. He played them onside for the goal and he gave the ball away needlessly with his show-boating. He is a lucky boy not to have been sent off.
What is wrong with getting to the by-line and smashing the ball low across the 6 yard box? Oh that's right, we're supposed to play a delicate, inch perfect pass in to an immensely crowded area.
Benayoun was excellent.

I agree that was a pretty poor performance from Song his passing was off is a great player though just had a bad day
Djourou also was pretty crap
and yep it was back to the days of trying to walk the ball over the line
Walcott would have probably helped

Chamack should have came on earlier. As it was to congested when he came on and before that gervinho would put a cross in across goal but van persie would be waiting for a cut back compared to chamack who would attack the ball.

Ramsey looked better when he came on, looked less tired.

Should try and get hoilett from blackburn if we can.

Have to put up with barton next game, so would prefer for some of our more senior players like song to sit out. Best letting frimpong deal with that crim.

barton will suck frimpong getting himself sent off within 30 minutes i reckon!

the lack of quality on the bench is cause for concern. especially with a number of upcoming games

any word on how long theo is out for? hopefully its not too serious

That would be absolutely enormous for our team.

Hoilett has the ability to go past people and that is something that we do lack. At the moment, oppositions stay deep and pack the centre back third knowing full well that Arsenal will always try and play the delicate little wall passes. Hoilett would terrorise the opposition cause they just wouldn't know what to do with him. He would give us a whole new dimension and create enormous space for RVP to utilise.

Please, please Mr. Wenger, listen to Tomnat and pay whatever it takes to get Hoilett; please!!

Theo was only out through illness and will be back for saturdays game. He couldn't train yesterday so they didn't risk him in case he became a liability to the team.

Would prefer fimpong to get carded then song.

And to be honest our team has a lot of injuries so its hard to have quality on the bench. Though up front there is no quality.

Also cruyff chamack is only good at winning headers and attacking the ball for a tap in

Henry is signed apparently. 2 month deal and is set to feature against Fulham. Not official but reports are starting to filter out.

I have an erection.

Be hard to expect much from the great man but imagine the lift he'd give the team/crowd coming on with about half an hour to play.

Podolski would be mental. Importantly I don't think we'd need to change formation to fit them both in if either/both were to start.

Podolski could perhaps move to the left, as gervinho can play on the right or left. And yes with our current starting formation, you wouldn't think Henry and RvP would both start

Henry would only be starting the Fa cup game against leeds, and if van persie were to get injured and wenger didn't have any confidence in park to start.

Other than that he would come on as a sub.

Also he may have lost his pace but he has got something that chamack doesn't have and thats a brain. So he will know where to go and what position he will need to be in if he wants a goal.

Park will start a few more games in the coming weeks i feel. Wenger has said that adaptation period is now over, so if wenger thinks he not a total spud which he obviously doesn't i can see him starting to give RVP a rest.

Also not sure if we will spend in january all depends on how our form is come mid jan.
