Well of the squad players that we have I would rank Chamakh about 20th in goal scoring threat. Almunia is more likely to score than him.

I'd back walcott through the middle before chamakh. Its got merit however we're unlikley to see it happen.

I do rate yossi though, him on one flank and gervinho on the other would work well IMO

We're struggling on the flanks a bit without our recognised full backs providing overlap so if we are going to rest Van Persie and Gervinho I'd play the Ox on the wing opposite Walcott (maybe move Theo to the left though).

I'd like to see Park start ahead of Chamakh (his good international form should mean something) but Chamakh would probably make more sense as he can at least hold the ball up reasonably well and be a target for what you would hope would be the inevitable crosses.

Pretty sure if we want to buy a player that is not english we need to sell a player that is not english. Due to the foreign player rule. Does that make sense.

So to get poldolski we need to sell either chamack or arshavin.

Also i get the feeling vermalean will be out for longer than 3 weeks, therefore i would love for wenger to go for vertonghen he'd be the prefect replacement.

We can hope Glen, we can hope. Unlikely in January though. 10m is a bargain, hopefully it entices Wenger.
Agreed, 10m would be on the cheap and we could even spend a few million more if need be, the funds are available from all reports. Podolski could easily slot into the left with RvP up front, theo on the right and gervinho has the capability to play central in Ramsey's position

Haven't heard too much on the possible loan signing of bridge, but with TV's injury we're well short at left back now

Being capable is one thing, but the likelihood of actually seeing him there is another ;)

I liked wenger's comment that it would be stupid to drop points just because we dont have any full backs. Hope he signs some cover. Henry is yet to be officially announced

Don't think we have reached our limit of foreigners though as a lot of ours count as local because they trained as kids with us.

Would love RvP to be able to have a rest , but he has to play, he`d want to play he is Captain afterall and let`s face it we are going to struggle to hit the net without him. Has to play.

I'm liking Coq at the moment. I seriously cannot stand Walcott though, the guy has absolutely nothing at all. Wenger would never sell him or start Ox in front of him. I cannot watch him play anymore, he is so damn wasteful. Need a winger who can actually ****ing cross and score a few more goals. Gervinho is pretty wasteful but he is more dangerous and probably sets more up.

Typical performance; waste a million chances by being too casual, then after the break we're on the back foot, and suddenly we're struggling to hold a 1-0 lead with 10 men and 10 minutes on the clock.

Not struggling anymore, 1-1 with not much left to play. This squad of players is just shockingly bad at winning games of football.

Fulhma scores again, and we lose 2-1 a game we should have won 4-0 at half time, where have you heard that story before?

We need fit full backs.

We need a defensive midfielder who can defend without coughing up unecessary fouls and pass forward without coughing up the ball.

We need forwards other than RvP who know how to finish. We need midfielders who know how to finish full stop.

Rossicky is finished. Arshavin is finished. Gerivnho is looking like a dud buy. Chamakh already is a dud buy.

Just seems that they had nothing left after half time did not rotate enough players.
We can't rotate players though, it would require half the squad not to be injured.

Sagna, vermalean, wilshere, diaby, santos, gibbs. Man we could do with these guys.

To be honest we wouldn't have deserved to win the game, as we pretty much just defended once we got the goal and they dominated us. Though djourou did not deserve to be sent off, zamora the diving prick.

We worked a lot better having coquelin in the team but we still lack that attacking right back which we need badly.

And i think we should change our formation as usually on a counter attack we only have RVP, Walcott, Gervinho and Ramsey compared to the other teams backs with there midfielders also coming back and defending.

Also we need to stop sitting back. It cost us 5 points in the last 2 weeks. Its probably more important to attack away from home.

And were back in fifth.

when djourou was dismissed it really was a matter of time, such is our record with red cards. failing to convert chances is a massive problem now, how we only scored 1 goal from that is very disappointing. not sure what happened with sczeczny with the winner? was he blindsided or something, he didnt even make an attempt to stop it

back to 5th now. 6 day break before the leeds match - and let's be honest the FA cup is our only realistic shot at a trophy this since so we have to put out our best team on the park
