Yep am not against the idea either. I hope he’s being signed though for the right reasons, not because of any deals struck between Edu/Sanlehi/Kia etc.
He’s a short term signing, similar to Luiz to help bring some experience to an otherwise younger, emerging group. In that respect, the only smokey is a 3 year deal. If it doesn’t work out, then we’d be stuck in another Ozil/Mhki type situation with trying to offload someone on decent wages.
For 130k a week Willian would be a decent signing. Only thing that worries me is 3 years, but if we get 2 decent ones out of him it would be ok. He would be 35 come the end of his contract.
A front 3 of Willian - Aubameyang - Pepe would be pretty legit with a creative players behind them.
With Europa League as well, more squad depth is welcome.

He is about to turn 25 and doesn't have anymore than 10 good games at the club. Not to mention he can't play in a back 4.

Willian I like him as a player, just age and length of deal that is the concern.
Willian will become everyones fan favourite like Rosicky, very similar player with slightly better end product and less injuries. The type of player we were solely lacking this season.
The only issue is Willian’s age but really it’s a bit of a no brainer isn’t it?

Aubmeyamg stays and continues to play off the left and lacazette leaves... should we be looking for more of a target man up front? Obviously not giroud.. would want someone with a little more pace.
Apparently we are letting go of 55 staff due to Covid. Not sure where those staff will come from.
I cannot agree more with you about how we sorely lacked a Willian type player last season. He has the ability to run hard at players and go past them as well as producing nice balls for players in the box to put away.
The talk is also very strong about Partey and if he comes and we keep Ceballos, our midfield will improve immeasurably! It would mean that Xhaka would not get many games, maybe Cup games or as a back up center half or the best case scenario as far as I'm concerned, out of the club and frees up 100k/week.
Kolasinac also gets 100K/week which is preposterous and with Ozil, I think his contract expires in June of next year so his wages until that period are about 15.2 million. I would put him on the market for that price, tell him that when we get that doe we will give it to him to pay out his full entitlement of wages and that he must find a club he wants to move to. If not, he will be in the youth team until June 2021 and he will be expected to train every day with them and not to go out night clubbing because it would be a bad example to the youngsters and if he does, he will be fined heavily - up to you Mezut. We need to get him off our books.
I'd hate to see Lacazette leave. I would much prefer to sell Nketiah who showed in the Cup Final why Bielsa wouldn't play him; he doesn't follow instructions! He was asked to come on and do a job in the Final but he was a selfish little s**t giving the ball away and trying to be a superstar. He hasn't the tools to be a superstar and we should cash in on him whilst he has plenty of admirers.

Xhaka pretty important in our team now, he is definitely first choice next to Partey if he signs.
